Default Time to buy Jordan?

Not talking high end, but for mid end low end inserts are playoffs and finals the time to buy do to more focus going towards Lebron/warrior players. I notice some really good potential deals on soon to end listings. Even a couple numbered cards as low as /1000 at .99c with less than 2 days! Never seen that before for MJ.

No because every LeBron article, interview, and forum thread also include Jordan.

Unfortanely I think Jordan is one of the few year around collected players. Just wait for a eBay coupon code.

What were $20 dollar inserts are now $50-$80.

$150-$200 inserts are now 400-700 dollars.

This wasn't long ago. They keep going up. I can't afford the SUPER HIGH END stuff so I'm having to resort to the ones that are in the middle range now because I waited too long.

Seems like the cash flowing into his rookies has made a move towards inserts lately.

It's just ridiculous. The LeBron comparisons are helping with Jordan sales as well in my opinion.

Attention attracts people and people usually have money.

So accurate. I have a lot of those $15-$30 cards that are suddenly going for 2-3x that. Wish I'd picked up a few that were going in that $100-$200 range now, however, as they've skyrocketed to the point that it would take a concerted effort for me to even pick up one.

I scour ebay a lot, as many of us do. Some MJs look like bargains with 36 hours left, I wake up day of and the card that's been ending for $75 that used to end for $30 has jumped from $10 to $50 overnight and you know it won't end up the steal you were hoping for.

Sold this for half (*$800 correction) the going rate a year ago. Made solid profit on it ,but all my MJs are sitting put. Everytime I think they are settling another bump out of the blue. Wish I had more. I really think its the rookie cash flow dispersing.

*Closer to 2/3 going rate.

Honestly, here's what I think is happening.

You've got three groups of MJ holders.

1. People who love the cards and they're important to their collections.
2. People who think the cards are great long term investments.
3. People trying to drive the market upward.

I think, if people are honest with themselves they often fit in multiple of the above categories....

One thing though is absolutely certain - there is so much competition for the best MJ stuff that it's becoming more and more difficult, and it's incredibly difficult to navigate values compared to where they use to be.

MJ has thousands of cards to collect.

let "value" go, and enjoy your cards

I tend on doing this with pretty much everything I've collected. Keep for awhile and use it towards something else different.

I keep wondering if the market has peaked myself. I have a bgs 9.5 93-94 Jordan scoring kings that I am strongly considering flipping but these 90s inserts keep increasing in value.

To add also sth do this discussion. I think finding cheap deals for cool Jordan Cards is difficult. Especially for classic cards like scoring kings, total d l, team leader and so on. For higher numbered Inserts prices also not cheap when you consider its not really a rare card.

The scariest part is how easy-odds MJ's, as long as they're high grade, seem to be blending in value wise with more of the tougher hits.

It's this weird assimilation going on that's just screaming to be busted.

I wouldn't buy jack right now.

Totally agree! Several of these junk Topps inserts or other relatively shiny nonrare cards are growing at crazy rates...yet something like an SPX Finite Spectrum /250 or /350 hasn’t grown in over 2 decades but is one of the rarest 90s parallels out there.

Dumbfounded for sure
