Very excited with this move. To get under luxury tax now Cashman will need to find a team whom Jacoby is willing to accept the trade to and send a decent prospect along with him. That is the only way any team is willing to take on Jacoby.

Love this move. Adding a current MVP and gave up very little. Amazing news. Still have a good shot at staying under the luxury cap as well. The front office is working hard.

This move was a steal. Other than Castro, who I will miss, we gave up no one (if reports are true) for an MVP who hits tons of homeruns. This solidifies we thankfully won't be in on Mr. Attitude, Bryce Harper now. All we need to do is sign another #1 or #2 SP and Machado and this team will be set for years.

Bird needs to hit #3 with his OBP and power. Plus this gives L/R/L/R/L/R through top 6 spots, though I'd rather swap Sanchez into #5.

I'm willing to bet that if they can't unload Ellsbury on one of those two that either or both Clint Frazier and Billy Butler are gone.
