I have a feeling this is going to teach a lot of people about the pitfalls of overpaying ahead of time for no reason. Lots of products go up over time for good reason. But to pay twice cost before checklists even come out is loopy. The added value of the good rookies is gone before your cases even ship. The smart ones got in early and will immediately flip sealed.

This is another product distributors are hoarding instead of selling to stores.

I'm in for a case at $1k. That's the max I would have gone. You will almost definitely lose money at $1450. Only a big hit will save you there. If it follows last years, it will be a $70/box product in a month. I doubt it will fall that low, but I see it being $100/box or less in a month.

1.) you can't compare last year to this year; apples and oranges.
2.) it's $100 a box now really if you are looking around. (slightly higher but close enough)

Exactly....

I love the starting prices on Ebay for the first Acuna relic, Soto Chrome, etc...they should all be up for 1 day auctions as it's 4 days before release...imo.

At least the odds are better in a 225 card set that you will get a base card of the top rookies and inserts featuring them. I think everyone ought to get something of Acuna, Ohtani or Torres in a blaster and it will make the parallels even more desired.
