Default MJ would take Kobe over Lebron

Michael Jordan would pick Kobe Bryant over LeBron James - ESPN

I just think it's too early in Lebron's career to call him better than Kobe.

Let's see where Lebron is in 6 years

Before this becomes a troll thread i hope people would compare lebron prime and kobe prime... Not the kobe now at brink of his career.

Kobe has more offensive arsenals than lebron and Kobe being a closer has been as great as MJ in the clutch while Lebron still is not that consistent in clutch.

Lebron is the best player in the league now though.

So jus throwing that out before people start comparing the 2 players now

Solid post! This thread will likely turn to junk soon, but you are right.

You can point to all the stats you want, but I've seen player polls numerous times where Kobe is the most feared player in the closing seconds of a game.

Take your stats and enjoy them

I'll go with the eye test and what his peers think

Kobe is alot more clutch than Lebron. Lebron started becoming clutch this year, but doesnt have the offensive arsenal that Kobe has. Lebron has to win at least 2-3 more rings before we start comparing

You start comparing from your first sentence. You didn't even wait for 3 more years.

Jordan is just a hater...

He's had negative feelings for Lebron for the longest, and most people know it. What he means is, Lebron IS better, but it's way too early to say. Further more, he KNOWS and can feel that Lebron will pass Kobe, and maybe even him... but he refuses to say it What else is new.

I can't wait till Lebron gets his second so the haters, including Jordan, can SHUT UP!!!! Once he has two, he'll be on his way..... I call 7!!!!!!! Yes, 7! Come talk to me when Lebron retires.... i'll be right here waiting.

Jordan is scared Lebron takes his spotlight as the best ever. LOL

The guy is 28 and way ahead of Jordan in terms of accolades.

Remember Jordan got his first ring at 28

Yet LeBron has 3 years more in the league than MJ did at 28

Everyone forgets LeBron came straight out of high school and Michael played college..

Michael hit the game winning shot to win a National title.

And won a gold medal with college players..

Didn't Jordan join the NBA a couple of years older than LeBron did? LeBron was 18 and Jordan was 22? It took Jordan 6 years to win his first title and it took LeBron 10 years.

I love how this is all anyone ever wants to bring up when they are a lebron fan. AGE. Okay, throw that up, but you are ignoring one thing. LEBRON HAS BEEN IN THE LEAGUE LONGER THAN JORDAN WHEN HE GOT HIS FIRST RING.

Lebron came straight out of high school. Jordan played college. Lebron fans always do nothing but bring up the age debate, but how can you do that and just ignore the fact that it took longer for lebron to get it done? Also, go through a season by season compairson through their first decade in the league. Going by years in league and not age, it's not anywhere near as close as you guys would like it to be.

Now, let me say this. Lebron is hands down the best player in the league right now. He's the most complete player by far. He does it all besides in the clutch, which I must admit he is starting to come around a little, but still has a long way to go. I'm not saying that he is bad or hating on him or any of this bs, I am just so sick of hearing age, age, age, age crap. Going by years in the league or season by season performances and it's not that close between jordan and lebron.

Jordan is GOAT. Period

You act like that is something to hold against lebron (that he came out of high school).

In my opinion that is a mark for Lebron. Jordan wasn't good enough to come out of high school.

Could LeBron have won a championship if he stayed in Cleveland?
