Rangers Flyers Playoff Series Thread
Figured id get one up for the series, I'm taking the Rangers in 7. I'm excited because the series can go any either and every game is deff going to be a dog fight. I believe the Rangers have the better defense and goaltending that's why I'm pretty sure we take the series. Also have 3 good scoring lines IMO. The flyers are a decent team in my eyes but can be dangerous if they get hot.
Hoping for some fun games to watch, also might be attending game 2 Let's go Rangers |

As a Flyer fan I hope Mason is on his game these playoffs but 1 game at a time. I hope we can beat the Rangers You will never see me say it's in a bag for any of the teams I follow cause you just never know. Our team is way better than we were to begin the season that's for sure or we wouldn't be here. We just need to play and not let the physical play get to us, Let the Rangers commit the dumb penalties. Giroux SHOULD win the MVP this year for his part in helping us rebound from the bad start but I am sure NHL will make sure that cry baby from Pittsburgh gets it. Let's hope we can get it done though.

Yeah both teams had horrible starts this year, I feel the Rangers had the better excuse though lol, new coach and new system was being brought in so it was tuff. To be honest I did t think the Rangers would make it to the playoffs this year I was looking forward to next year with the system working at full potential. I am really surprised to how the team has turned it around. And like they say anything can happen once you make the playoffs. It's all about momentum. |

Giroux is an outstanding player and had a great season. But the "cry baby" just won the Art Ross by double digits while playing for the team with 500+ man games lost to injury. A la he led a team playing with AHL scrubs on a nightly basis to the #2 seed in the East. Rangers in 7.

Can't believe the Flyers-Rangers haven't met in the playoffs for 17 years.
It should be a great series, hopefully the Flyers can overcome their MSG woes. Gonna be a very intense series. In fact so intense they kicked Miley Cyrus out of the Wells Fargo Center to play Game 3. |

[QUOTE=Wolves4Life;7068906]AHL scrubs? If they are in the NHL they belong there. You don't just call
Typical Flyers fan. Someone gives an opinion that differs from their own, and they get all fudgy and defensive. I just called Giroux an outstanding player, and explained why I feel Crosby should win the Hart. You're unable to articulate why you feel Giroux should win it, you simply take the easy (and immature) route of attacking an opposing player. Side bar: If they SHOULD be in the NHL, they'd be there all year........

I think this will be the best first round series in the East. I like the Rangers in 7, mainly because of how well they've been playing of late, and with the Flyers, you just never know how the goal tending will hold up over a long series.

Huge edge in goal for the Rangers with Emery starting in place of the injured Mason, but I still think the Flyers could give them fits. If I liked a team in the East, Philadelphia is the one team I would have been trying to avoid in the first round (along with Boston, of course).
If the Flyers can get some secondary scoring, I think they'll win this series. |

I'm just hoping for a 7 game war with all of the games going triple overtime.

250 Years later and the Flyers still can't figure out they need a goaltender. They'll be gone in no time.

Very impressive. The Rangers had to score on that four-minute advantage, and they did it. Now they have the Flyers completely unhinged.

It's fun watching a team do to the Flyers what the Flyers usually do to the Penguins.

Unfortunately for the Flyers, it's still the right call. And I say that as someone who would love to see the Rangers lose. |
