Default Congratulations Slayer

With over 75 catches and over 1,000 yards Keenan Allen is well on his way to a possible Comeback player of the year award but the last 3 games in particular are pretty amazing.

In the last 3 games he has had;
10+ catches
100+ yards
1+ TD's in each game..........THE FIRST PLAYER IN NFL HISTORY TO DO THIS OVER A 3 GAME SPAN!!

The 3 game totals are silly, 33 catches for 436 yards and 4 TD's.

Keep balling Slayer and lets extend this to 4 games this Sunday!!

Allen has been great. Glad he’s back and avoiding injuries.

Keenan Allen is SO underrated. Best route runner in the league. Smooth.

seems crazy that no one has ever done this...i looked up some of the big name WR in history...and not only have they not done...they never even remotely came close to doing this!

Jerry Rice never even close to 3 str games with 10+ rec...never even had TWO games in row with 10+ catches...which blows my mind...

Randy Moss had the yards/td combo for 3+ games in row multiple times but never had 10+ rec in any of those instances...he actually only had 10+ rec 11x in his career which i thought was also crazy!

Calvin Johnson(maybe not an obvious one to look up but im a lions fan so wanted to see)...out of these three he came the closest for sure...he had a 4gm stretch of 10+rec/100+yds but only had a TD in 1 of those games...the 3 games before that 4gm stretch he had 100+yds/1td+ but did not get 10+rec in 2 of them...
so he had a 7gm stretch...5x 10+ rec...7x 100+yds...4x 1td+ but never got them 3 in a row....

T.O. got the yards/td part but hardly ever had 10+ rec in a game...less than 10x in his career

M.Harrison got close like calvin a couple times...had most of it but not 10+ 3 in row

J.Gordon-fresh on mind since returning and remember that insane stretch few yrs ago...he was close...4gm in row had yards/td and had 14 and 10 catches in two...but 7 and 5 in other two...

anyways...just crazy to think no one ever did this but to see that some of the greats never even came close is wild...

I have a feeling he will have another great game against the Skins. Hard to believe he has been with the Bolts for 5 seasons already.

Slayer died in 1994.. Keenan on the other hand is killing it! Crazy to see that team have a playoff chance given the way the Chiefs and Chargers started the season.

Random guy I looked up that I thought may have come close. Tj housmandzadeh. Had 2 straight fitting the bill but the 3rd game was only 8 receptions.

That is surprising that Moss has only had 10+ receptions 11x in his career! He is a different kind of receiver though. I always found it fascinating that he's 3rd on the all time receiving list but 15th all time for receptions!

such a deep threat that he would routinely turn like 5 or 6 catches into 140+ yds and stuff like that...

Yes he was. I remember seeing one stat line that he had 3 catches, 170+ yard, and 3 TD's. That explains it right there.

Allen is a great receiver but comparing his stats to anyone from 10+ years ago is misleading as there are way more passes thrown per game now.
In his prime I never saw a more dominant player over a long period at his position than Jerry Rice, except maybe Brady.
Randy moss was the best deep threat receiver ever IMO.
