Arrow Optic Contenders On-Card Rookie Autographs

If you can’t get excited about this, I don’t know what else you can ask for as a chrome/prizm lover...

Has everything you want.

Chrome technology? Check
On-Card Autograph? Check
Nice, simple clean design? Check

I personally also love that they’re rare and won’t be in every box.

Your thoughts?

There is no stand alone product like football. The above optic contenders are randomly inserted in 17-18 contenders which drops Wednesday.

Pretty sharp indeed. Thankfully they're on-card autos.

No need to make optic contenders when you can insert chrome optic variations in contenders.

Man, i'd hate to be new to this hobby

so the best looking Contender Autos are going to be inserts, and Optic versions, basically neutering the base autos lol

These are not inserts. If anything they are parallels to the base set.

I see this as what Topps did with Bowman. To use a basketball example, 2007/08 Bowman. That product combined both regular Bowman and Bowman Chrome and Bowman Chrome Base Set Rookie Autographs all into one stand alone product.

Same idea here with Contenders.

U-G-L-Y.....No action photography and who needs a section-row-seat number on the card? So much for a real RC Card with in game photography. This late in the season they should have more in game photos to choose from and a better format for the card rather than wasted space with numbers that don’t relate to anything.

are there Bowman Autos to compliment the Bowman Chrome Autos?

why would anyone want base autos if they're are Optic versions, especially in the same product

No, they didnt have regular Bowman autos, just Chrome. They still had Bowman rookies with numbered parallels however.

Still lame. Iíd rather see a great in game action photo with an on card auto than weight, height and jersey number. Just my humble opinion.

See below. These are not inserts but parallels. If you follow football contenders itís like the championship tickets and cracked ice. Also the base autos will have some short prints too so that will keep them in demand as well.

i am familiar, but have a difficult time believing new folks are going to "get it"

thats neither here, nor there though. im just shocked they didnt take the "make more money" route and make Optic Contenders as a product

Upper Deck and Topps will always be missed.

panini RUINED basketball cards. I knew this was going to happen once the exclusive that should have never happened was announced all those years ago.

How sick would it be to go into a card shop and be buying packs of SP Authentic or Topps Chrome ???? Panini is the most epic fail of all time. GTHP
