If the deadline for your LCS to order thar book has passed, it's a bit of a moot point.

I believe that deadline has passed, it was on last months order sheet.

I don't think these will be too difficult to get as the base issue was only .25 cents, and regular copies will be everywhere on this issue. In fact, there will be so many base issues, People will have extras sitting in the outhouse in case they run out of toilet paper.

Even if something mind blowing happens in this issue, I think supply will far outweigh demand for a long time on this one.

My LCS told me FOC is tomorrow. I went for 600. A silly number of comics but why not?

I also preordered some of Neil Gaiman's American Gods. 3 covers...Fabry, Mack and McKean.

Are there any other good incentives coming up? I never hear of the 1:50s, 1:100s etc until it is too late as they are not usually on the preorder sites I reference for my orders (mostly Midtown and Westfield).

How about just give them out to millions of Walking Fans out there who did not know anything about the comics?

Or just put them in the $1 bin (first time ever) and still made out like a bandit?

If you have the means and methods to do that, I can see that, but most of us do not I assume.

You guys cant do a "$1 bin box" ? --- that is not believable.

Plastered "Walking Dead Comic for $1" all over FB and Craigslist, people will drive by and pick up them things by a bundle.

As for having the means --- if you going to spend $150 or more for a pair of two incentives covers, you might as well use that money and preorder 500 books.

(Your LCS can order them until today)

As for the method --- since you already got the books you wanted, you can take your time doing whatever works for you and get some money back. And if you can bundle sale them books at $1 each -- you will triple if not quadruple your money and not to forget, them incentives books are your for FREE.

Unless you are part of a forum(s), you wouldnt know the advance info and you will have to pay the "going rate".

But if you have advance info, why not take advantage of it and work out a solution instead of "Oh man, how am i going to get my money back".

Some idiots said it best --- "Scared money makes no money" and "Work smarter not harder, stupid."

Time is a luxury to many of us, but thanks for the ideas.

This one got the right idea ...

2/1/17 Pre Order WALKING DEAD #163 Variant 1:200 & Reg Image Comics | eBay

1. Getting money upfront without interest.

2. Got help with the generic covers

Now, all it needs is to sell generic covers by a bundle and the 1:500 is scotch-free.

PS. A lot of remorse buyers for the combo (1:200 and 1:500) since the price dropped more than half of the initial sales.

Yeah he is a genius except that many of us would never pre-order anything on ebay. I sure as hell wouldn't.

Talking about about being a genius at the right moment -- Spend no money, make (almost) 3x. Damn, pyramid scheme do exist!

Oh, he do have to put in some elbow's grease to ship the books

I am pretty sure that I will list a whole case (200 I think?) on ebay immediately. I may even list 2. I would rather try and sell the books to fund the variants than sell the variants to fund the books, but that may be too tough with 720000 copies out there.

There were greater notes, but a 9.2 sounds excessive from what I read. I'm really curious to see the book when it gets back on Tuesday
