Default comics from late 70's and early 80's

I just found my old comics is there a price guide online somewhere where I can look and see if I have anything of value? How do you determine if they are worth grading? I deal mostly in sports cards & memorabilia. What factors are used in grading?

I have hundreds; I just pulled out 2 of them. I guess I need to make a list, I used to keep them in pretty good shape. I'll take more pics tonight, I was on my out to dinner with the kids.

The best way to get an idea of what you have and what it's worth is to take a complete inventory. Yes, it's time consuming, and may make you question why you're doing it, but in the end the hard work will pay off to help you identify what you have and share with others if you are asking for advice, or selling, or trading, or whatever.

I try to document and photograph every book I own. It's something I NEVER have 100% complete, but I do try and follow my own advice. It's not easy.

There are plenty of comic gurus here who can help you identify which books are good for grading for a variety of reasons, or which books you should let go or dwell back in your collection.

You can always start small too, perhaps inventory 100-150 books and come back with that info and share with the group and go from there.

Free website comicspriceguide.com and ebay of course. CBCS publishes an overview of their grading criteria on their website. They are the #2 grading company, but CGC doesn't publish anything.
