Ordered graphic novel from Comic Masters and was refunded. The web site still shows it available in stock 5 days later.

Ordered TWO copies of We Can Never Go Home directly from the publisher on 5/04, and it ships through Kings Road Merch, out of LA.

Release date: 5/06
Receipt date: 5/15

The wait sucked, but that's not the issue I have.
Both book were placed inside a thin cardboard envelope...no bag, no board, no bag & board combo. Just straight into the envelope.

Luckily the books both look pretty good, and I have no plans to grade them anyway, but just want anyone to be aware if contemplating a purchase through this publisher that your book might be shipped in this manner. I heard this might happen after the fact (I had already placed the order).

Thanks for the heads up! I made an order through the site after I talked to Matt (the writer) about it being difficult to get my hands on the book.

It's anyone's guess on what the books will look like when they arrive. I get rural mail service and they can be unforgiving on comic books.

Default bad packaging

im sure everyone knows about hastings. my experience is below...no bag or board just thrown in a box with plenty of spacing. I want to buy other books from them but most likely wont b/c of this shipment. the book is ok but they got lucky IMO.

also, just got books in from oni-press... they bag, board and mail them in bubble mailer. I wont be using them again either. perhaps is picky but I wish these retailers would understand our time and money is just as valuable as theirs.

Unfortunately ... I can top that, Rip.

Ordered 15 comics last week thru Comix Zone's $0.99 DC back issues promo.
All 15 were placed straight in a box like that with NOTHING. No bags. No boards.

Amazing they were not bent or worse.

How does everyone find Silver-Acre's grading in the UK?

I just bought Power Pack 1 - 3 and Machine Man 2020 1 - 4 all listed as NM, they're VF to my eye at best I think, although I can be a bit hyper critical

Silver-Acre also don't declare when an issue they have is a UK pence one sometimes, which is a bit off I think.

I always take Silver Acre's grading with a pinch of salt, but they should really be informing you if the book is a pence edition

Comicsxposure is currently emailing those that pre-ordered the Image Blind Box months ago for $125 now stating that the buyer owes another $140 in order to get their box.

This is ultra-shady and negates me ever doing business with them again.

Not sure this means this seller should be blacklisted but hadden_collectables appears to be using another listings photo for an Iron Man 55. His listing is at $350 and the other sellers listing is at $400. Just think it's weird for a book of this caliber.
