May want to check with him. I think I've seen on his previous commission post for Vienna that you have to pick it up. Not sure if that is for every show

Did it say, *you* had to pick it up at the show, or just that it had to be picked up at the show? I'm not trying to argue, it just doesn't make sense. I've picked up a few a bunch of people from a few different artists that take advanced commissions before a convention. Honestly, there is no reason for them to even know I wasn't the one that the commission was for.

In the post on his Facebook when he was taking commissions for Vienna it said you had to be the one picking up your commission and something about commissions were only for people attending Vienna. I'm not sure if that was a different circumstance than normal. Someone did ask the question in the Facebook thread for the Dallas show but Allison hadn't responded yet.

That is a real turn-off to me. I get it, but at the same time I bet he has tons of fans in Alabama and South Dakota and what not, and never does a show withing 200 miles of them. I guess his commissions are only for people near big cities or with big travel budgets.

I'm lucky to live so close to Philly and NYC, which is one reason I'm usually willing to help people out with pick-ups and stuff.

It looks like he'll be taking commissions in Dallas for the show in two weeks. 20 spots for the $400 detailed head sketches and 20 spots for the $1000 commissions. If I was an OA collector and had $1000, I'd totally try to get in on this. But judging from George Perez's line today at another show, I doubt I'll even get a signature from him!

Same response I received ...fingers crossed. Getting a Hughes commission is on the end of my comic bucket list.

I'd love a Hughes commission he never comes near me. I can get cheap George Perez sketches and signatures every year at DragonCon.

You're lucky. In my neck of the woods, it's always Art Adams.

I don't know for sure, but I don't see why not. I've seen backer board sketches in CGC SS slabs

I guess he does not like to do shows in his home area.

He's done some signings at small shops, but there aren't any shows for him to even attend.

I wish this was being done a month from now. Tax return and bonus could have been used to get me a Hughes

Allison just posted that commissions are going to be for show attendees only and that the person who ordered it had to be the one to pick it up. I really hope he makes it back to Baltimore and is taking commissions for that show.

I could try and get on the list if someone really wants to get a sketch done. I'll be attending the show on Saturday. PM me if you are seriously interested and maybe we can make it work.

Super sweet Mary Jane. I was able to see it up close and personal. I was fortunate enough to get a sketch as well and I think it will be posted later. Thank you Adam for visiting Texas!

Oh man, you were there?! We should have had a "Blowout Forums" meetup! ussoldier0424 and I were there and both got sketches. I'll be posting mine along with my other recent pickups in my thread soon.
