Nobody steal that idea, I still may do it one day
His penmanship leaves something to be desired but this was unexpected. A friend couldn't make it to the Con to get his books signed so AH! Sent him a note. I laughed all day about this. AH! Wasn't the only one either. Lol.

Yep. CHU mention it a few weeks back and there's a pre-order on the bay for $300 OBO. Will be interesting.

I knew the moment after seeing Wonder Woman at the movies that Diana in the comics would begin looking like Gal Gadot. Who better than Hughes for that? I'm assuming he draws the face first as that's the toughest thing to get right, especially the likeness of a real person. That also means he could fully finish all the onate surroundings only lightly penciled here in his sleep. What an artist!

I've got some 1990s posters of his I've been meaning to post here, as soon as I can get decent pictures. Tomb Raider, Rainmaker from Gen13 , and a couple of promos for Penthouse Comix. Maybe tomorrow...

I don't know, his commissions always look to have lopsided boobs. I was looking at some of his other commission work they posted on Facebook and again, some proportion issues with the figure.. guess it's cause he's rushing through these to get them done it time. I'm a huge AH fan but sometimes I question his work.

That and the generally anatomically unrealistic boob size have always bothered me. Are they all ex-strippers? That commission would be so much better if the boobs were a c cup

He didn't put DD's on that Gadot WW which is great! Also at least AH draws different faces on his women unlike Campbell

Hughes' flaw is that the red noses on his subjects make a lot of them look drunk. Other than that, he's immeasurably better than JSC.

"Vintage" AH! posters, as promised.
This one is only about 10 years old. It was issued (folded) as a promo poster first, if I'm not mistaken, but due to how well it was received, it was shortly thereafter issued as a retail (rolled) poster.

A couple of Tomb Raiders from 2001, when Image Top Cow was publishing the comic:

And a trio from the mid 1990's, the Women of Penthouse Comix, Gen 13's Rainmaker, and Dark Horse's Ghost:

They both have their own twist on the way they portray noses. I think Campbell has a slight edge in drawing, but Hughes on the other hand does both pencilling and coloring. I prefer Hughes style over Campbell but Campbell I think is the better artist... he's more consistent and can draw any pose without flaws.

Here's an apparently seldom seen comic book-sized program from the 2004 Dallas Comic-Con. When I bought it, I could only see the flip cover which was a nice Batman and Harley Quinn by Dan Brereton. I was pretty happy to flip it over and find this, the actual front cover.

I read that attendance for that con back then was a couple of thousand for the two day affair, but Michael Keaton was the guest of honor that year, so that might have pumped up the numbers some. How ever many were made, they don't seem to pop up that often.
