Haven't posted in a while. Picked up this set of slabs for my Harley Quinn collection a couple weeks ago.

I went WAY overboard when I got to Kevin Eastman's booth yesterday

Got three books signed. The TMNT Adventures #1 was already signed by Peter Laird so that one is done

Not pictured - I also picked up 10 Carnage books I needed from $1 boxes, a mad scientist Giclee print from Greg Hildebrandt (NSFW), and a sweet Spidey/Venom/Carnage print from Scott Hanna.

One of these days I'll get around to reading TMNT. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Good stuff as always!

Awesome pickups. Those sketch covers are great. By the time I got there they were all gone. Oh well I had to settle for a comission instead

I was looking to get a commission, but ended up blowing my budget on these. I have no regrets. Actually, I have one... Passed on signed TMNT Batman #1s for $20 yesterday and they were sold out when I went back today. Oh well. Courtney confirmed they will not be at NYCC, so unless I make it out to Rhode Island in the winter it might be a long time before I have a chance at a commission.

Was a good show. I wish there was an art dealer or two there, but otherwise very well rounded.

Pricing on sketches was tiered from $60 to $200. These were all $60. I thought it was an amazing price. Will go in for a more expensive commission next time around (unless I can find more characters that match these).

Thanks for all the great comments everybody

I didn't think much of it and didn't order online, but when I went to pick up the Rock Candy order I saw it in person and couldn't resist. Bought both the store had.

I was glad I ordered 4 online. They sold out quick and there were none in store. Makes a nice pair with the classic Harley Rock Candy vinyl. Will probably list some around Christmas.

Been a LONG time since I updated, despite a lot of pick-ups since then. For now, here is what I added to my collection from NYCC.

First off, a few sketch covers by a few of my favorite sketch card artists. I'm a big fan, and have been for a long time, so I try to send some of my money in their direction whenever they are in town. Very pleased with these

Penelope 'Peng Peng' Gaylord, Danielle 'Soloud' Gransaull, and Michael 'Locoduck' Duron

It was kind of a hectic show for me. Didn't do the thorough walk through the show floor or artist alley that I usually do. This guy's table happened to be next to one of my friend's, so I looked through his stuff while I was waiting on her. Turns out he is currently doing the art for Green Lantern, and his pencils were looking pretty sweet, so I figured a head shot on a comic book cover for $30 was a no brainer. Let him pick whatever book he wanted from my binder, and he went with Harley Quinn. Definitely the deal of the weekend!

Eduardo Pansica

Was standing on line to get a bunch of books signed by Amanda Connor and Jimmy Palmiotti for CGC Signature Series. It was $10 donation for a CGC signature, but you could get 5 non-CGC signatures for free. Figured I would get a few blanks signed and then have them sketched on later. Was very pleasantly surprised when Jimmy decided to do a little profile remark/sketch on one. I decided to add it to the CGC stack, so I guess I owe them $10.

Last, but certainly not least, two "wins" on Sunday that I already mentioned in the NYCC thread. The JSC remark is with CGC, and the Artgerm will eventually get professionally framed for display.

Hope you enjoy these works as much as I do. Thanks for looking.

My subscription service sent my latest package to my old address. Picked it up yesterday. Happy to finally put this set back together again. Sorry for the meh picture. Was back and forth about subbing a set as Signature Series at NYCC. It was originally my plan when I bought them, but ultimately I decided not to. I'll have more chances if I change my mind. Honestly, I really don't see this set appreciating to the point where I would put another $200 into it to upgrade it to SS.
