Same for me - just need the McNair exchange pennant. I actually think that I've got the McNairs from the exact same ticket and leather exchange sets as you, so here's to the next set break!

Thanks to burke23 for this one. Our 90s collections are truly only as good as you allow them to be.

On an unrelated note, if anybody has a McNair PMG red that they'd be willing to part with, let me know because I'm a little short nowadays.

I would love to find one of Barry. Problem is, there is way to much competition who would more than likely pay much more than myself.

Perspective: as expensive as it would be, it would still probably be cheaper than a PMG green of a second rate basketball player. But still, you're right that it would cost all the money in the world.

Great Zoning Commission red! I thought that I had the McNair purchased, but it turned out that the seller didn't have the one in their inventory that they thought they did. Maybe next time.

Default when crossing one card off the list means adding six more then crossing off seven

Here's something that's kind of cool if you know a little about 90s cards.

For 1998 Contenders, collectors were able to mail in complete sets of the leather, pennant, or ticket sets and get them stamped as "registered exchange" sets. For the pennant set, a total of 51 sets were mailed in and stamped as "registered exchange" sets. The pennants were available in seven different variations (well, eight if you include the gold foil /98, which I doubt anybody was able to complete the set in time to have stamped), and it is my understanding that you did not need to include all seven variations to have your set stamped as a "registered exchange" set (i.e., a stamped pennant set includes one of each player, rather than seven of each player). If my understanding is correct, then for each player, there are AT MOST seven possible complete "registered exchange" pennant sets with all seven variations (51 total sets divided by the seven possible variations).*

Anyway, I was lucky enough to be able to buy a complete set of all seven different "registered exchange" pennants for my Steve McNair collection, and here they are:

Yellow Felt

Red Felt

Orange Felt

Green Felt

Blue Felt

Purple Felt

Red Foil

Sequentially numbered to boot! It looks like somebody may have collected complete sets of all seven variations and mailed them in to be stamped. That's dedication!

*Please somebody correct me if I'm wrong about all this.

That's awesome! I just bought the Warrick Dunn Yellow pennant version. I had no idea there was one for ever color. Can you ask the guy if he has the Warrick Dunn set... please. I also have the Contenders Ticket (only 8 sets complete) and the Leather Football registered exchange.

If that guy was the only one to complete all color variation sets then it may be possible that certain registered colors are rarer than others...maybe you have some one of a kinds!

I asked already, if you believe that! I know that you've got the exchange ticket and football, so as soon as I found out that he had the McNairs I asked two questions: (1) got the seven Dunn exchange pennants? and (2) any PMG reds? No on both accounts, sadly.

Glad that you got the one, at least. It looks like several from that same 4/51 set are being sold, including the McNair, which is the red. I would've been happy with just that one, but I'm over the moon to have the full set. Looks like the #4 set has different variations, rather than all being the same (all yellows, for example). So that tells me that the various players probably have different variations that are especially rare - the green may be the hardest to find for McNair, while the purple may be the toughest Dunn. In any event, no more than seven complete sets available, so at least one variation for each player looks to be even harder to come by than the exchange ticket!

And while I'm here, here's another rare one that I got with the exchange pennants, but haven't shared yet:

Which completes the set of McNair PMGs for me:

Thanks again to burke23 for the green!
