Default PayPal Chargeback

Hello all,

I'm probably just being paranoid, but wanted to make sure. I was looking at my year-to-date numbers on PayPal yesterday and noticed an amount for chargebacks and disputes. I don't have any knowledge of any of this and when I contact PayPal about it they tell me they need transaction IDs and other things. I obviously don't have those things because I don't know where this stuff came from. But I also have a credit for the same amount.

Has anyone seen this before? I know it is probably nothing since I have a credit but I wanted to make sure.

Have a seller cancel a deal? Maybe that got categorized there?

Or maybe it was one that was filed against you that Paypal never processed further. They will sometimes just eat these without getting you involved. What it looks like to me is the buyer filed a chargeback like a fraudulent user and was forced by Paypal to refund and then Paypal's seller protection reimbursed you. Sometimes those get processed without the seller ever being notified.

What Shreve said. That's why your pluses and minuses match.

You can go into your PayPal and view the resolution center thru them and see the details of the closed cases. I go thru mine about once every 2 months and add the people to my ebay block list.

That makes sense, thanks guys.

@Branesergen - I tried that but I don't have any closed cases.
