In Person:

Went to the SDSU baseball home opener tonight. Man it just feels weird not having Tony Gwynn here anymore

They had a nice ceremony for him tonight and some former players were there. I also saw Greg Allen, Quinton Berry, Bud Black, Michael Cederoth, and Kyle Dean but didn't have anything for them.

Wish I could got to a few Vandy games. But I do not prefer watching baseball games when it is 32 degrees outside. Ha.

Nice TTM though. I never knew he signed TTM. Also cool that he took time to personalize everyone.

Yeah last spring one of my friends tweeted him and said he'd sign fan mail and then later on said he'd sign it all after the season. I've never seen him personalize before so I think this is his new way of countering the dealers. I know last season he would be giving the rushed sig or off-centered sweet spot to people who dipped or who he thought were dealers.

I met him last season at the AA all star game. He gave bad looks to the people he knew where dealers. He also only signed one for them. It was back when he gave his good sig and signed 2 per.

Decided to take in a division 2 baseball game. UCSD just got a new ballpark so that was nice.

Ryan Olson 4/4 cards in blue

Cody Ponce 10/10 customs cards signed in blue for a 50/50

Ponce personalized but was still cool about it. Hopefully he can get picked in the first round.

yeah I figured this would happen eventually once he changing his signature and adding the smiley face.

However we were two-on-one with him at the winter meetings last December and I got the full signature on my 8x10s so I think if you catch him in a smaller setting he'll hook you up.

Also got to see Marcus Allen rip into a guy. The guy got Allen on a football yesterday and goes for another one. Not sure why he bothered. If I ever got Allen for free I'd buy a lotto ticket and never ask him again lol

It is my understanding that the only things he doesn't sign are non Blue Jays cards and the "David Wells Diet" Sports Illustrated.

For the SI I don't think he liked the article. Something about it being taken out of context.

For cards he has said that he only signs the non-Blue Jays cards for his kids so they will be valuable. Although he signed a Padres card at a free NY signing a few years back because he felt 'saucy" lol
