I agree that these "reimaginations" are often uninspired lacking any creative flair.

Once in a while they're "cute" and sometimes even creatively "clever", but other times they're flat out offensive in it's like a really bad karaoke singer covering a hit song... poor execution and an insult to the legacy.

Just like how I think those "Action Figure" covers seem played-out, where initially they seemed genius and unique now they're run of the mill and tired.
