Picked up this beauty recently, thus breaking my vintage seal I still have lots of love for the modern (autos especially), but there is just something incredibly endearing about these cards. This is a 1978 Monty Gum World Cup Leonardo Cuellar. I absolutely adore this set and I will be looking to hunt down all Mexico cards in this set plus other key players (Platini, Cruyff, Zico, etc.)

Finally dipping the toes back into vintage. Here are some recent garage sale pickups. All were less than $1 except the 1967 Joe Morgan (I think it was $4 or $5).

Nice garage sale find. Usually when I go to them (or respond to a Craigslist ad) it's all 1989 Fleer and 1990 Donruss.

That's usually what I find.

Found a couple of late 1960's Sports Illustrated magazines at a garage sale today:

Some upgrades to my set. I have been taking advantage of the 10-20% off Ebay plus 5% from my CC.

Added 3 more 62s to my set. Some pretty big ones too. By the way, if anyone has any FT/FS, let me know. I'm up to about 240 different at this point. So needing more. These are the 3 that came in today.

Final picked up my first graded Mantle, I loved the centering on it and the bottom edge/corner wear I just pay no attention to.

Was very happy with the centering on this one. I had been looking at quite a few before I went with this one.

Here are my big pickups.

I know it doesn't seem like much, but this grade for this variation has a population of 3. There are no 7.5s or 8s and only 1 9.

This one has the eye appeal of an 8 imo.

Here's another super rare variation.

White backs are very rare for 1956 Topps cards 101-180. That Avila is a huge card. The Mantle is just off centered, if it had the centering of the Mays it would be an 8. Nice cards.

So amazed that these even exist! Couldnít imagine having the money for that let alone having to explain to the wife why itís worth paying so much for.

Truly beautiful card!
