Agreed. My gut tells me that this guy will be the next Yankees manager. And I would be perfectly fine with that.
Also pretty cool that he can speak both Japanese and Spanish, along with 3 other languages. That's a big deal when you have guys like Tanaka and possibly Otani on the team.

I have a Yankees hat that Hensley Muelens signed for me at a Yankees game in Arlington as a kid. Nolan Ryan pitched 8 shutout innings and Kevin Mass tied it up in the ninth. Yankees won in either 14 or 15. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Getting some more money for Otani with a minor trade.

So who's your favorite candidate so far?
This would be my order of preference: Meulens/Beltran (these are my favorites and I like them both about the same) Thomson Boone Wedge Woodward My gut tells me that if the Yankees were to cut it down to 2 finalists today it would be between Meulens and Boone/Beltran.

Boone is the best choice IMO.

I understand what you are saying but if they wanted bench experience neither Boone or Beltran would be even interviewed

My mistake, for some reason I thought he had coached a little. I'm honestly not sure any of the candidates really have blown by anyone. Hopefully they make a good choice.

I hope Boone's candidacy isn't affected by his brothers idiocy this week...
Would love Boone to get the job just so that the rivalry heats up again with Boston. We all know how much Red Sox fans, and Tim Wakefield, love Aaron Bleepin Boone! The ghosts will come right back out again... Would be great... |

Glad to see Boone get named the manager.
Hiring home run hero Aaron Boone another bold move by Bombers' daredevil GM Brian Cashman http://www.espn.com/blog/new-york/ya...-brian-cashman |

I was rooting for Hensley Meulens personally. Mostly because he has major league coaching experience at least, plus speaks multiple languages. If you were going to hire a guy with zero experience why not just hire Carlos Beltran, who many of these players know and trust.
I'm willing to bet Boone doesn't last 4 years as the manager __________________

I’m glad I didn’t buy any of his cards. I guess he doesn’t want to be apart of the greatest Team in the World!!

Wants small market west coast, as long as it's not Seattle whatever. But really surprised he didn't want to come to NY

I don't think he likes the idea of sharing the limelight - he would have to contend with Judge, Sanchez, Severino, Tanaka, etc.
