eBay is absolute garbage now
This new seller assistance bs they makes me want to jump off a bridge. Please tell me there is a way to revert to the old listing style. The app is useless and the website auto switches to mobile. eBay on my phone is basically unusable now.

I like some of the new features but I wish that international crap wouldn’t be auto checked.

I was thinking that yesterday. It was the first time I had listed something in awhile. It used to be a lot simpler to get something listed.

I also couldn't find the checkbox for immediate payment required. I looked in every clickable link in the app.

Well, in 1997, for instance, all payments were made by money orders, so there were no Paypal fees for sellers to pay. Listing fees were around 25 cents per item with free listings being rare, but final value fees were very low, much lower than now, and the bigger the ticket you sold, the lower the fees were for that transaction as it operated on a sliding scale.
I sold a comic book for $2,700 and as I recall, the fees on it went all the way down to 1.25% so that the final value seller fees on that were about 35 bucks, as opposed to the $270 it would be today. Also, tracking was not required. Your word to Ebay you had sent it was good enough, if there was a dispute, which was seldom. Bidders virtually always paid sellers who virtually always delivered what was promised. Beyond that, shipping up to a pound by Priority Mail was $2.90 with tracking 30 cents, and international shipping wasn't much more. As a buyer, there were a manageable number of auctions so that you could actually look at pretty much everything that interested you, and it was virtually all for bids only, so you had a real shot at winning auctions. Buy-it-now prices, once introduced, only had to be 10% higher than the minimum bid, so you could get some real steals (or, make some quick sales) that way, too. Everything was always better before, but someday, people will point to this time, and long for it as well, so how bad could it be?

I just dont think the hand holding is necessary. I don't need them telling me what to listt my item for. And I can't figure out a way to save my configured way to list. So every listing I have to recheck the same boxes etc etc

Ordered a charger on ebay that came in today. Was totally fake and almost caught fire when i tried to plug it in today. Trying to figure out how to report the seller but it doesn't seem to be easy.

Jdnads - About time somebody remembers how well EBay use to work/run before they became greedy by doubling up the fees and then requiring Pay Pal. As a member since 99, I just hated in the mid 2000's when they changed what was working great.
We could communicate with other members including the seller and it was working great. Miss those days. |

Monkey - I got the same email regarding one of my listings. I removed it but not sure why it was flagged to be honest. I listed it via Turbo Lister just like all my other items.

Here's one for you guys. I had an item listed. Three people messaged me asking me to sell offline as they lived in close proximity from me and wanted to do a deal straight cash. I don't even bother to respond as I know how this goes. I get a message from eBay stating they are aware of possible dealings offline and they have the right to suspend my account/limit my listings/cease communication if this continues!!!!!!
Maybe you should start worrying about your buyers, whom you protect so much, screwing you over and not the sellers. |

Because the little turbo lister logo that is automatically inserted is what is causing the problem. I had to go into all my listings made from turbo lister and delete the logo.

Not sure what logo you are referring to. Where do I go to take it off?

At the very bottom of any listing I have done with turbo lister, a little turbo lister icon with "listed by turbo lister" appears at the bottom of my description. I had to edit my listing, go to the description and delete image and words.

I'm Surprised this thread didn't backfire lol. I was so pissed off when I made it.
Another thing that grinds my gears on this newest update is the insertion fees. It no longer tells me what my fee will be to list. I Can't seem to find out before listing on the app. |

Copy the text you see (no logos) on the edit page, flip over to the HTML tab and delete everything, flip back to standard and paste, then update listing.
I had to go thru 900 listings and take all the HTML out when that 1st went live. One thing to keep in mind - its not ebay doing this, its Google blocking the content with HTML links, which is exactly what these ads are, which is a good thing as malware is easily loaded to computers thru counterfeit links that people trust.
