I have an item that is listed as "Not for sale". When I try to make it available for sale, the site won't let me and I get "There is a pending sale". It's not a card that I have an offer on. I'm not exactly sure what is going on here. I also can't add it to a shipment or do anything else really. It's just locked. Is this waiting on a buyer to do something?

Item# 17938935.

Some quick questions which I should know but just can't figure out.
1. What is the difference between a blue price and a green price? Promotion?
2. How do you know which cards the .25 shipping has already been put into the asking price or do you know?
3. Every 2014 Topps Chrome Marcus Roberson card of every degree but 1 is listed as Marcus Robinson. LOL How to fix?

1) green price is sale price, blue prices are regular price
2) if you're profile setting is set to simplified shipping is included in the price, if you're in advanced reseller mode you need to add shipping. Plus on the item screen you'll see an S&H 0.25 under the price when you're in advanced reseller mode.
3) click the submit error correction request and wait.

Guess my attempt at humor didn't translate. I agree that he was neutered and useless. Seems like I'll pass this along was all he was allowed to say.

So, when you are pricing a card, do most people add the .25 or not? The way I am reading it there are plenty of people with cards under .25, which is more than a little mathematically illogical to me.

Port sales make that possible. If you buy someone else's inventory to flip, then you didn't pay that $0.25 per card for processing, so you can still charge less than that and turn a profit, assuming you paid less than 0.25 per card when buying the port.

So when pricing a card. I add the .25 and I am actually receiving the .25 as cash to me? When priciing, let's say I put .24 + the .25 making .49. When the card sells I get .49 right? So the whole purpose of this is to coddle flippers? Which people have been pointing out for several pages now? And if I am at .49, the flipper cannot buy the card for .24 or if they do, the money still comes to me but is accounted where?

If you see a card priced under 25 does not mean the seller necessarily loses money. I have purchased many cards for 10 and sold them for 15 cents. Not much of a profit but definitely not a loss.

Now if you bought the card from me for 15 cents, you then will need to pay 25 cents more on your next shipment. I hope that makes sense.

No, you have this exactly backwards. It has nothing to do with flippers and everything to do with actual buyers/collectors. The .25 is a shipping charge that goes towards actually being shipped off of the site. It was a marketing BS maneuver so that they could advertise flat rate $3 shipping when reality it is $3 + .25 per card.

COMC keeps that money regardless of who buys it or for what purpose. A flipper can choose to buy in advanced mode but the .25 will still be tacked onto his prices when selling so it really doesn't change anything.

I got the joke!

Anyhow, I have to say, he had a really tough job having to be the frontman during the first five/six months after April 1 last year. He had to take alotta crap (and mostly rightfully so) from all of us.

Yeah, I'm still not getting it so let me try point blank again. I go to my new inventory screen, and ready to price something and put it for sale. The first field is Price which I put at .24. Then it says +.25 and then = before the next field and it populates to .49. Someone, ANYONE buys the card, how much do I get?

.24, the other .25 is COMC's cut to use towards shipping.

To muddy the waters though, if you buy something in advanced mode for the intention of flipping it, if you list it for .49 you will get .49. It is because the .25 was already paid when you bought it. Again, just a BS way to hide the fact that they are getting their cut one way or another.

Okay, I can muddle through that. How is SRP determined and/or what does it signify?

So if this first Jenkins sells at the .41, the seller only gets .16?

yes, the seller gets 16 cents and the other 25 cents goes to COMC for shipping.

The short answer is "it depends."

The $0.25 is only applied to a card once. So if it is already attached, that is if anyone has ever paid the $0.25 shipping fee for the card, then the seller gets $0.41. If not, he gets $0.16. The way to tell is go to advanced mode and see what the price is. If it's $0.41 in both modes, he's getting $0.41.

In this case, yes, he's only getting $0.16 (I checked).

So if you are doing new listings add the .25 since it is apparently mandatory and SRP means absolutely squat. And all listings have a .50 baseline, not .25.
LOL
What a cluster...
