Default Wow!!!! Stanton 2008s have doubled + in 24 hours

Crazyness, I figured I'd pick one up for $300-$325, way more then they were mid week. Ain't gonna happen.... Damn them Yankee fans.

Guilty as charged!
I picked up some essentials for the PC yesterday! Can't wait to see this lineup in action!

This is awesome! Imagine Harper or machado prices if they go to the Yankees. You never know.

And I had been holding an 08 Xfractor Auto since 2009 - sold it last year in April/May - right before he went on a HR binge

Edit - and I had several '10 Chrome Blue Autos that I sold in 2015

I hear ya. I sold my 9.5 refractor last year about a week to early right before prices doubled. Lol

I had a TON of Stanton in 2011 and with injuries and no seasons like last season I figured he was getting too "old" and unloaded EVERYTHING!!

Pulled my Stanton refractor AU in my lone box of 2008 BDP that year. Buddy pulled a base auto in a Target blaster and then traded it to me for a bunch of Joe Mauer GU and RC

ONLY doubled? I'm kind of shocked. You go from a dumpster fire of a market to the hottest market in the known universe where he has a shorter porch to launch balls at and a chance to play meaningful fall baseball.

And if that wasn't enough we'll hear all about Stanton and Judge for months before anything even happens to allow anyone to be disappointed.

Stanton going to the moon.

BO wasted no time jacking up the price on 2008 Elite Extra Edition. 2.5 times what it was selling for! :-O

I have an outstanding redemption with Panini for the 2014 Classics Stanton Platinum bat/autograph #1/1. I'm losing hope they'll ever get him to sign but I wonder if I can get more value for it now.

I have a 1993 Topps Finest Mike Stanton refractor. Does anyone have any idea on the value?

Is this purely the Yankee factor? If so, I don't really understand it. I certainly anticipate the demand for his early cards in a Yankees uniform, but those RCs are forever him in a Marlins uni. Why would a player's new team have an impact on the value of his cards where he's pictured in a different team's colors?

I bought one 2008 chrome auto right when he got hurt a couple years back for around 150, still have it but it is basically a gem-pristine raw which is my favorite type card to own, so I doubt I will be able to sell.

Miguel Cabrera's stuff exploded when he won the triple crown for the Tigers. When he was with the Marlins you could buy his topps traded for 5 dollars for a paper and 15 for a Chrome.

1993 Finest refactors are all the rage. This is definitely a card to hold on to, imo. As far as value, $350?

Especially if the 2008s are selling for $300 now. No auto, but this card is 15 years older.
