Default 30 for 30

Did anybody catch the 30 for 30 tonight on ESPN about Marcus DuPree? I had never heard his story before (I was just 4 years old when he was at Oklahoma).

Very inspirational and well-done, and tragically sad at the same time. I recommend checking it out if you missed it tonight.

That is a great series. I DVR all of them so it should be on there. My 2 favorite ones so far are the Miami University episode and the one about Gretzky getting traded to LA.

Being a 76ers fan, the Allen Iverson story was one of my favorites. I personally don't think there has been one that I didn't like. I hope they come out with a box set like I have been hearing

Yea the Len Bias one was really good, very sad. Run Ricky Run was good as well. I try not to knock anybody if what they are doing is not affecting me but Ricky Williams is a strange guy. Strange might be kind of a strong word, just diffrent I guess.

Surprised nobody liked the Reggie Miller vs. the Knicks one. I thought that one was great! Although I hate Reggie with a passion still.

It's really sad that an entire generation never heard of this guy. I was talking to an older friend of mine last night, and he said DuPree was the second best running back he's ever seen: only slightly behind Herschel Walker and just ahead of Bo Jackson. He said the guy's combination of speed and size was nothing short of "freakish." It's a shame it turned out the way it did, but at least DuPree gave it that one last shot.

I want to watch it again right now. Great story.

The entire 30 for 30 is going to be great minus a few. I really wanted to watch this one but I don't have ESPN classis but am looking forward to getting the whole set. These are all done very well, I was really looking forward to last nights. My favorites so far are "Tale of Two Escobars" and "Run Ricky Run."

The show about Marcus was amazing. Growing up my parents would talk about him as they were both at OU when he played. Even playing well below 100% he set a fiesta bowl record that stands today. The high school footage was if they had taken a NFL running back and placed him in high school. I just wonder if a player could ever reach that status again. I will most likely buy the DVD for this one.

Dupree was a beast! I haven't seen too many of these but the Run Ricky Run was very good. Changes the way one looks at him or at least from my point of view.
