Exclamation INSANE Local Pickup

So, I've noticed a trend in local antique dealers, in that- they tend to not know what comics are worth. Either they believe each of their forty copies of X-Force #1 are worth $15 a piece or they throw everything in a box with $5 a pop.

Well... At a dealer recently, I found a sketch on the cover of Zero Hour #0. Now, it wasn't a great sketch, and at first I didn't fully recognize the name, but I threw it in my stack- I love sketch covers and this is a cover from before sketch covers were a real thing, even if, looking at first glance, my thoughts were it was probably someone local and given the comic's place in the 90's, not worth terribly much. So I get out and I start going through my stack over lunch and it clicks in my head looking at the cover.

Mart Nodell 96, Green Lantern 40.
Martin Nodell. Green Lantern 1940. I held in my hands an autographed sketch cover by the cocreator of the Golden Age Green Lantern. I still am in mild disbelief, and I figured I'd share this amazing pickup with you guys.

Just now fixed it. At first it was showing FULL size, I didn't wanna stretch the board that wide.

I had Martin Nodell do a sketch for me years ago at Wizard World Philly. He had a table full of Zero Hour covers and he would do the Green Lantern on the cover for $20. He was in a wheel chair and people were just passing him by. I felt bad for him and got him to do one. It was a cool experience to meet him and I still have that book somewhere.
