Default Colin Kaepernick - Baltimore

This thread probably won't last long. The other tried but eventually fell to Blowout being Blowout.

But Kaepernick is ending up in Baltimore now right? It's going to happen.

Doubt it happens unless Flacco's back doesn't get better in a week's time. Ravens don't have the cap space to afford Kap either unless he's willing to take the minimum.

It all depends on exactly how bad his back is. I doubt they will have to be without Flacco during the regular season if he's sitting out right now. But if I were given the option of Ryan Mallett or Colin Kaepernick, my decision is easy for me.

So Ryan Mallet?

Some speculation last night... Harbaugh was one of the few that praised Kaepernick, and some strong praise, back a few months ago

Weird that Kaep might go to the team and HC that beat him in the SB.

Honestly I'd sign RGIII at this point. Too much bad publicity for Kaep with an awful year, and Ryan Mallet is awful. RGIII in my opinion is the best of three evils

I much rather see the Ravens sign Mangold following the news of Urschel's retirement than fork over more cap space to a backup QB. They just resigned Mallett this offseason.

I mean there isn't much left is there? I just don't see a positive to bringing in kaepernick. Had he not had all the bad publicity AND an awful season, I'd take Kaep but who would you rather an awful QB or an awful QB with bad publicity. Doesn't matter if you agree with him or not, hes bad publicity. 2013 was 4 years ago so that means nothing to me now.

The positive is that there's a good chance he's still a solid QB. He's better than Mullett, that's for sure!
If he plays well, most of the hate will stop.
IMO, he 100% deserves to be on an NFL team.

Kaep has had surgery and gone through 3 coaches so I don't think these last two years are all on him honestly. Yeah he could of made better decision but Chip Kelly and Jim Tomsula had no business being NFL coaches in my opinion. I believe he can still be the QB that led the 49ers to two straight NFC title games and a Super Bowl as long as he has a coach who actually knows what he's doing.

Neither is Kaep, your point? I don't see the bengals trading mccaron either but if mccaron was an option I'd take him over kaep

My point is McCarron is on an NFL team and that team isn't gonna let him go. Kaep is much better than McCarron. Kaep needs a coach who knows what he's doing to achieve where he was in 2012 and 2013. McCarron hasn't shown any signs of being even a decent backup.

You literally just make stuff up, it's hilarious. McCarron has a 66% completion rate and 97.1 QB rating, 6tds/2ints in his limited time on the field. He has shown a lot more than "not even being a decent backup", lmao. Some peoples kids.

That's in 4 games, 2 of which he lost by the way. I'm not convinced. Not enough time on the field. I'm not saying he's bad but he's not great like people are making him out to be. He's not in the top 5 backups in the league in my opinion.

Just showing you how wrong your opinion is. There's nothing he has done on the field that would make him "less than a decent" backup. The fact your opinion is that he's not top 5 makes me even more confident he'll be a quality starter soon.

Because it's relevant to Football since Flacco got hurt? And Harbaugh has talked about how much he likes Kaepernick? And Schefter was talking about it being discussed?

If we can keep it on topic it absolutely needs talked about. Kaepernick is going to be playing in the NFL this year as QB's struggle in camp and/or get hurt.
