Default What to use to reattach shower door bottom guide?

Had a bathroom redone and a family member snapped off the vinyl bottom guide that was affixed to the metal frame with what I think was PVC cement. My subsequent efforts to reattach the guide (which is about a 6", L-shaped piece of vinyl that rests on the inside of the main track and keeps the internal sliding door in line) with a waterproof adhesive caulk and also PVC cement have failed. Anyone know of an epoxy or some other type of waterproof adhesive that might work?

Are you sure it was held with an adhesive?
I doesn't seem right that a part that would get wet often would be attached with glue. Usually it would snap into place or have an inset to hold it.

Can it be screwed to the metal frame if you pre-drill through both the piece and frame? It would work with a small, thin screw with a beveled head.

Yes it was originally attached with what I believe to be PVC cement. I suppose I could screw it in but it is not pre-drilled.

Will look into the marine epoxy.

Good idea - wipe it down good with alcohol before applying.

Not sure if this would work in your application...but this is what we recommend in the marine industry:

Can you use like a Swan's silicone adhesive as a caulking on both sides of the runner?

This stuff is good. I glued a shower door track down with it a couple of years ago and held good so far.
