They didn't play defense last year, they have somehow managed to play even less this year. Either they don't try on defense or they just aren't talented enough. LeBron for example doesn't even bother trying to defend, others like Love just suck defensively.

Their second best player is out right now so as Aaron Rodgers would say R-E-L-A-X.

It's been a steady fall for him. He's old, his body has been slowly breaking down for years. He's just not that great anymore.

Do you all think Isiah will be the 2nd most effective player and not Love?

I don’t see how he can be effective like last year playing without the ball.

They are in a pickle. The easy answer is trade the nets pick and a player for a stud that can play with LeBron. The problem is if Lebron leaves it makes things worse. The hard answer is you roll with you have and convince LeBron to stay.

They can get more talent? Get another coach? Run better plays? Find a new defensive system?

Whatever they do it's got nothing to do with the GOAT on their team.

Think they’d reject him if he so much as gave ‘em a whiff?

Best, no longer second.

LeBron may be great, top 10 of all time (not in my book) but he's no leader. He thinks he's smarter than he is, signed off on the Kyrie trade: what a moron. Look at Kyrie without LeBron: playing really well considering Hayward is out for the season, new city and offense, and playing with a bunch of young guys. Oh and the C's are on a 6 game win streak.
LeBron is spoiled douche. Coddled all his career, pushing coaches around, it's all about Biron Biron not the team! Sorry but he's a bitch.
He will never crack MY top 10 because of his attitude. Wish there was a way to have Bird, MJ, Magic, Malone, etc. go back in time and school his sorry ass. Have fun playing with a 5'9" PG.

More time together and get IT4 back.

They're still coming out of the East.

*insert new BO early season overreaction thread here*

Was pretty hilarious seeing everyone panicking last year saying the Cavs looked uber vulnerable late and might not even make it out of the first or second round of the playoffs because no number 1 seed.

As if that even matters in the East.

Different team. Oldest team in the NBA, in fact. And not enough time for IT to gel...

The East. The East.

Also; almost any team with a revised team structure needs time to acclimate to new player roles and gain chemistry.

Said it last year and I'll say it a million times again: to anyone doubting the Cavs won't make the Finals yet again...go and place your wagers on Vegas nao. I'd love to see the money being put where the orifice is.

But I doubt very much of that will happen.

For as awful as the Cavs have been they only have 2 more losses than the defending champs (who very easily could have dropped the game to the Wizards).

It's a long season and the cream always rises in the NBA. The Cavs are better both offensively and defensively than they were last season (assuming the players brought in gel).

So far they are not better on either end.

They have a lot of gelling to do. Let's not forget Love's back problems. Can IT solve some problems? Only at 1 end.

I really hope we see someone different come out of the East but Kyrie would have to be amazing for that to hsppen.

On the other side, people were saying the Cavs were coasting and they were going to pick up their defense on the Finals.

Truth is, it's always somewhere on the middle. Yes, they'll pick it up when it counts but those mistakes in the regular season are gonna be noticeable in the playoffs. It's not a black or white.
