Default Kyle Kuzma Prizm Prices?!

I’m sorry if this has been brought up before but.....

I just looked some up and I was definitely taken aback. Holy crap, his Prizm stuff is selling for insane amounts. Like, superstar levels.

I haven’t paid much attention to the Lakers this year but why is he becoming a hobby favorite?

He has maybe been the 3rd most impressive rookie this year in what is a deep and talented class and he plays for the Lakers. His game is also really aesthetic and exciting to watch.

Keyword though is that he plays for the Lakers.

This is really the key. He's playing well for sure. But put any rookie or any player on the Lakers and if they play anywhere near good or show any kind of promise their prices will jump.

Watch a Lakers game, any of them. The guy can score, yes. But that's all he does. Not saying scoring isn't important, but a player not putting the team before individual stat line is a big no for me. As soon as he catches the ball, the shot is going up. Every time.

Sounds a lot to me like Larry Nance's rookie year when he was a mild hobby sensation.

Wasn't around when Nance was a rookie lol. Not a Lakers fan but from what I have seen, I'd take Nance over Kuzma, Clarkson. He seems like a team player and doesn't mind the dirty work.

Looking at Kuzma's stats he also rebounds at a solid rate so I wouldn't just say he's a scorer, and the Lakers need somebody to shoot when you have Lonzo and Ingram who are pretty tenative players.

I think he might be a better Malcolm Brogdon who doesn't get much better but still puts up solid stats.

His game is really fluid and graceful. It’s more exciting to watch. Think Olajuwon vs Brook Lopez
