Tinsley must have had a hot stretch. I just looked up his rookie year stats to see if they were ridiculous. Not so much: 38% FG, 70% FT, 0.5 3PTs, 3.7 REB, 8.1 AST, 1.7 STL, 0.5 BLK, 9.4 PTS, 3.4 TO

If I remember correctly though, he was the motor to that pacers team with Reggie, the Davis' and JO. I could have it wrong and I wasn't collecting at that time but yeah, he gave pacers fans hope at that time.

Just recently moved and had to throw out a bunch of old Becketts that were sitting in my garage - realizing now I should've just saved the Hot List pages - ah well. Thanks for upoading these, they're fun to look at.

Oh man. When MJs wizard stuff as live, it was insane.

Oh, and I can also confirm the insanity of the first few Andrei kirilenko rookies - especially in Utah.

Feb 2002......

Freshman year of college for me....

Needless to say, I don't remember anything about the collecting time period.

My hot list at the time was kegs of Natty Light, skipping Friday class and the girls volleyball team

Had Becketts subscription from 1990-2003. Got married and the mrs had me throw them all out about 5 years ago. Would love to look back now

He had a 29 and 28 point game in November. It was a veteran team led by Reggie Miller, Jermaine O'Neal and Jalen Rose. He was supposed to be the PG of the future, but he definitely cooled off as the season went on.

I remember the Fleer Platinum Racks were the hot product of the season until Ultimate Collection came out.

Interesting how Kirilenko never really developed... almost peaked his rookie year.

Tinsley had that big game against Jordan around Thanksgiving 2001 and I’m pretty sure it was a triple double or something like that. Tinsley was hot after that and it must have carried into the new year. It was a fun draft because two of the hottest rookies (Tinsley and Parker) were deep first round picks. Tinsley peaked in his rookie season like Brandon Jennings did. Love the old Beckett’s though.

Yeah he had a 29 and 28 game in November, followed by a 19p,11r,23a! game against MJ and the Wizards which i think was broadcasted on TBS back in the day.
A triple double like that against MJ who just came back from retirement and on National TV, it created a big hype.

Natty Light brain granades in keg form? Outstanding! Let's see that volley ball team in action and a group shot too. I'll ask nicely.

I bought a fair amount of product in 2001 (at least for a college student at the time)

The 2000 draft was probably the worst i can recall. Key players being Kenyon Martin, Mike Miller, jamal crawford, Michael Redd, and Darius Miles

However the 2001 draft draft was solid. Although no major superstars, a couple HOF's and depth. Tony Parker, Pau Gasol, Joe JOhnson, Zach Randolph , Jason Richardson, and Gilbert Arenas.

2001 i got a lot (few boxes) of Chrome, Flight Team, and Pristine. Chrome i hit a Gasol and Arenas refractors. Flight team i hit /50 and/or /125 of Tinsley, Richardson, Randolph, and Brown. Pristine hit a Richard Jefferson encased refractor.

I remember buying a Jamaal Tinsley Chrome RC in 2001 and I passed on a Cut Above Garnett. Stupid I know. But at that time, I thought he was really great. Haha.

What's funny is I graduated high school in 04 and collected heavily in late 90s/early 00s and it was rough as the rookie classes were absolute trash I got destroyed in wax which turned me off for a few years while in college. I remember being home in lake george ny in the summer at a cardstore that was going out of business selling 3 boxes worth of loose 03-04 Topps Chrome for $1/pack. Even then I realized it was a no brainer but did pretty awful all things considering only one lebron! Should've keep them sealed!

2000 has to be the worst pro draft class in any sport ever.

Everyone considers that 2000 draft class as the worst but IMO, looking back, the 2002 draft is worse. Yao Ming is the only player that makes it look decent but if we’re being honest his NBA career was a major disappointment. Amare was great for six or seven years but faded fast and hard (Steve Nash probably played a huge part in Amare looking so good anyway)

If you collected any big rookies between 99-00 and 02-03 it's safe to say you took a bath
