Haha no. I think Mahomes is a good QB, but no. Main reason is his style doesn't fit in Chiefs offense.

Ha we're also taking about a lack luster offense ran by Alex smith who couldn't get the ball to a big time dynamic blazing WR or a top tier elite athletic TE ... and had a running game the 1st half of the season

Better than Rodgers. Might even be better than Brady after its all said and done. The NFL needs this kid. Just watch.

Agree, I think he is the best to ever do it, not really close either. Cousins a close second.

Until someone goes out and proves it for 10+ years, nobody can be compared to Rodgers or Brady. Sorry.

But this kid does have potential, and it will be interesting and entertaining to see what he does as the starter next year. I can say that.

Lackluster offense? 6th in total yards, 7th in passing yards, 6th in points and points per game.

There were 15 players with 1000+ yards receiving this year. KC had two of them. They had the league leader in rushing yards.

Now, if you want to point to the defense, you may have a point.

No I'm pointing to some key stats and consistently stalling for stretches or not being able to make key plays for at least 1/3 of a season ..

3rd down conversations per game (22) 4.8
3rd down conversation % (14) 39%
Plays Per Game avg : 61 (28th)
Red Zone Attempt Per Game : 3.1 (13)
Red Zine score Per Game TD : 1.4 (19)
Scoring % TD : 45% (29)

Faced 5 teams .500 or better the last 12 games and averaged 18.4 points... 3 of those they averaged 13.3 points and one they didn't score the whole second half vs Tennessee ... 1-4 record

Several of those games were awful offensively esp Steelers, Bills, Dallas

Alex Smith had a great stats year and the team at times rolled .. I was just saying they stalled a lot when it mattered and after the initial 5-0 start vs winning record teams

Hill : 8 games at or below 68 yards
Kelce : 8 games at or below 66 yards y

But thank you . I'm not good .. just better than you at google and simple arithmetic

All jokes aside .. I like Alex Smith .. he had a really good year and honest surliness me in several categories but the mid to late season key games I watched weren't great for KC. I think he got them as far as he could is all I was saying

They were awful running the ball in most of those losses. That doesn't fall on Smith.

Steelers loss: Hunt 21 yards rushing compared to 194 rushing yards for Pittsburgh.

Oakland loss: Smith threw for 342 and 3 TDs. Chiefs gave up 400+ yards and 3 TDs to Carr.

Cowboys loss: Hunt 37 yards rushing. Gave up 131 yards rushing and 2 TDs on the ground.

New York Giants and Buffalo games, I'll agree, they were stalled out. Smith threw two INT against NYG and Kelce threw one. Smith threw that game ending INT against Buffalo

The Jets game...defense gave up 330 yards to McCown! Smith led in rushing with 70 yards and 366 yards and 4TDs.

Nothing you've said has shown they are a lackluster offense. In their losses, Smith still had 10 TDs compared to 4 INT. He only had 5 INT on the season, so I guess you could say that if Smith turned over the ball, they were likely to lose.
