If his career continues to trend in the direction it's going, which seems very likely at this point, I'd say no. The body of work isn't there, the playoff success isn't there... I just don't see how you could build a strong case even if you wanted to. A lot of people don't even think he deserved the MVP that he did win. My opinion of his career is that it's been marred by injuries and disappointing as a result.

Would have been nice to see what he could have been if his knees held up, but it's not even close. Only way he gets to HOF is if he makes a family trip like the rest of us.

There was a thread of this at the beginning of the season. It was and still is a resounding no. His MVP season seems like the anomaly now.

He started his career on a HOF path, but he fell off that path a couple years ago when he got injured. He could make it back to being a superstar, but he won't get there on this Cavs team. He needs to get to a place where he can play 30 minutes per game and then we can talk about his HOF potential again, assuming he can get back to averaging closer to 20 points/game.

Wow, I just saw your post and sure enough he is out of Cleveland. I don't see them as being a great fit for him as they are already set at PG, but maybe he will find a way to shine there.
