Default Thoughts on 2019 Gypsy Queen

What's everyone's interest level in 2019 Gypsy Queen? GQ has become my 2nd favorite release each yr (behind Heritage). It's set to release in 2 weeks and I don't see a single thread on it (not even a Blowout Buzz).

They need to either axe the brand, or release it late summer to try to get some RCs included

As a rip and flip, it has become pretty stagnant....only product last year I would wake up in the morning after listing and maybe have 1, 2 sales. (I'm still in for a couple cases though, still a fun rip. The Glassworks boxtoppers were a nice add last year) Also, the blackless, missing backplate, etc. don't do to well either.

It was good in 2011 and went downhill every year since.

BO First Buzz does exist, but it's just buried deep beneath in the forum.

Ah - I even used the search function to try and find it. Thanks!

The various types of variations is what draws me in. While I do understand the ripping and flipping value isn't there, I do love the variation "hunt".

Re: Box toppers - it looks like they are changing things up yet again and just adding a pack of 3 chrome GQ cards.

What do you like about Gypsy Queen? I'm trying to find another set to build (other than flagship, and I don't like Heritage).

One of my favorites for singles since they're so cheap. I'm glad they went back to a symmetrical design which they haven't done in a few years.

I couldn't imagine breaking this though. The value seems terrible. At $100 a box I'm sure a bunch of the autos don't pay for the pack they came from.

Is this the first time they did chrome? Sounds like something that has potential

I like the design / color schemes...gives it a retro type feel. And I really like the different types of variations they have...Jackie Robinson Day variations (players wear 42); missing back plates, gum backs, wrong teams, etc.

Other are right though, from a value perspective, it just doesn't seem to be a good ROI. And don't get me wrong, I can't afford an entire case, but I'll probably break 3-6 boxes.

To my knowledge, yes - this is the first time with chrome. And I agree...I think there could be some nice value in those packs if you hit the right guys.

I love the Black and White Autos in GQ. I think they look super cool, in particular slabbed. Other than that, I don't have much interest. Even less, less interest is A&G to me. That product is just a giant mess. It triggers my baseball collecting OCD like nothing else.
