Exclamation Long-Time Con Artist Rodrick "Rod" Iman of rbisportsinc Also Trims A Lot of Cards

Rodrick "Rod" Iman AKA RBI Sports Inc AKA rbisportsinc on eBay
Greensboro, NC

eBay: https://www.ebay.com/usr/rbisportsinc
Website: https://rbisportsinc.com/
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rod.iman.18
Twitter: https://twitter.com/rbisportsinc?lang=en
Twitter archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20190713...rtsinc?lang=en
(He likes to retweet card trimming and alteration tweets.)
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imanrod/

Rod is a long-time con artist who has for years sold fake autographs authenticated by bogus authentication companies Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators (GFA) and GAI. It looks like eBay has had enough of his fake autographs, so he now sells them exclusively though his website, rbisportsinc.com. Here is a pretty comical interview with him on fake Ali autographs:

Full article: https://web.archive.org/save/https:/...ry?id=40680389

If you care to read about all of the fake autographs:
https://live.autographmagazine.com/f...orgery-rip-off
https://live.autographmagazine.com/f...-maris-forgery
https://live.autographmagazine.com/f...r-rbisportsinc
https://live.autographmagazine.com/f...mmad-ali-photo
https://live.autographmagazine.com/f...ographed-photo
https://live.autographmagazine.com/f...on-ebay-part-2

There's more, but that should be enough. After all this thread is about card trimming, not fake autographs. Bottom line is avoid rbisportsinc.com.

I have gone digging for feedback on one of the cards below to show that rbisportsinc bought the raw, pre-trimmed card. Other than that, all the cards were in his PSA submissions. In addition, Rod observes the eBay listing SOP for card trimmers and does not scan card backs or list serial numbers. Therefore, many cards cannot be traced back. Finally, I'd like to make a big shout out to member mondogenerator for helping to show that even when these cards may not appear to be trimmed (as in there does not appear to be substantial corner/edge defects), they still are.

Most of these cards are 2017 Topps Archives Bazooka, but I will include a slightly less than normal-sized card or two as well. Some are active listings and some are completed.

More to come...

Probably like “If I were going to trim card, I would choose less valuable ones.”

Or at least that would align with his Ali defense.

He too looks like a DB. I wonder how many will be offended by this comment.

If you guys want to go down the rabbit hole on how disgusting GFA is as an "authentication" company, read Chris Williams' awesome thread over on AML. He's like all of our BO heroes (312, superdan, corndog, et al.) rolled into one!

https://live.autographmagazine.com/p...-do-they-use-p

and PSA if you're reading... red border cards are almost never 10's out of the pack! I pulled a 1984 AS Trout /10 last weekend, with the same nicked bottom right edge in the examples, and have NEVER seen a clean 10 cut on any red border card I've ever pulled!

This autograph BS alone could send these clowns to prison.

Chris posts here on BO as cardsforever. About a month ago he posted some info on fake Jeter autos and was met with derision by some uneducated members here.

His work is top-notch and I trust his opinion much more than JSA or PSA/DNA.

Literally nothing is too small to feel safe anymore. If they have perfected trimming to the point that it's worthwhile to go after 2017 Archives mini inserts and non-RC sticker autographs, then there isn't anything that's completely immune to this BS.

I mean, some of these are $5 or less raw.

Are you saying there’s a finite number of these dirtbags?

If so, I disagree. Everyone should always remain vigilant.

$5 card. Trim, grade, list for $100 as a pop 1 manufactured card. Rinse, repeat.

PSA needs to be forced to close their doors.
That company is a cesspool of incompetence.

Great job 312 on outing yet another trimmer!
Keep up the excellent work!
