No matter how angry you are, you can't say you are going to put a bullet in someone's head. Doesn't matter what they have done to you. Even saying "I'll kill you" is bad but isn't on the level of what Cousins said.

That's just one scenario that's been played out a thousands times in a thousand ways though, isn't it? There are others, such as women being left with the kid while the man disappears - doesn't mean that's what's going on here, but we're all just guessing aren't we?

Someone wanted the mansplain version, so I tried to help out. We are just guessing, but to presume 100% innocence on the part of the woman is naive. There are ugly people that are male, female, whatever other gender, white, brown, black, yellow, and everything in between. This thread seemed to turn into a rally for women real early... and for no reason.

Maybe Cousins is an abusive father and the child’s mom had concerns. Seems unlikely since he just wanted his kid at his wedding, but who knows? It just seems a bit unfair to chalk up the incident as one of those “men being vile pigs” type things without considering everything.

Threatening people is not okay, but neither is not allowing a father to see his child, and given the only context we know, those are the two things that happened here. I know of plenty of men who have walked and are an embarrassment to society, but also know of plenty of women who use the child(ren) as leverage for monetary reasons or simply out of spite. Seems like the kid is the real victim here.

Hang up and have your high paid attorney that should be on retainer anyways file an emergency motion to have the courts enforce immediate access under special circumstances.

I dont know where the kid lives, or what type of access and visitation agreement they have. But if he planned his wedding months in advance, this should have been done from the get go anyways.
He should have had a court order done that the child must be made available that day.
And once the court order is in place, the police are legally allowed to take the child to him even if she is being difficult.

Ive been through the family courts (albeit in Canada) with my ex wife and providing its a reasonable request with proper planning, they usually dont pick sides.

If we are being honest, I imagine he got married with little notice, maybe she is just vindictive. But at that point, she doesnt have to drop stuff to satisfy his last minute wants and needs.

Instead, now hes on tape threatening to shoot her. If anything now, she comes off as the more level headed parent.

If he thought she was difficult before, wait until she starts using his threat against him. A threat to kill someone, the indication of access to firearms, and past instances of aggressiveness to others (reporters)?

Exactly, we don't know the custody issues of the son. All he had to do was schedule the wedding on a day that he has custody (assuming he at least has a little).

I never understood how people in altercations like this have the time/composure to start recording on their phone. Always got the vibe you’re baiting/getting the other person riled up before you started recording.

There are apps that record calls, incoming and outgoing.

You really dont need to do very much and the download can cost $5 in the app store.

Sure you can edit stuff but you cant force someone to threaten to kill you.

Well if her motives are what you are saying, she accomplished her mission when she popped out a kid with a guy who will make over $100m in his career.

Shes getting her child support regardless and im guessing its somewhere around $20K a month.

Like I said previously, she probably is a vindicative you know what. But that said Cousins has always come across as termpermental, agressive and emotional.

As others have said the one who loses the most is the kid.

Hes got a dad who seems unable to do things properly even with all the money at his disposal to do so, and he most likely has an opportunistic mother whos more than willing to take advantage of the fathers mental shortcomings.
