I was too conservative on my line placement when showing how crooked this card was trimmed. Here's a better photo.

Enough time to end the auction or will Heritage go through with the sale?

Up to $18.6k with BP. Pretty far off from the untrimmed sale in 2012.

Heritage is also selling a TON of highly suspect 1951 Parkhurst Hockey PSA cards ending tonight...including a very obviously trimmed PSA 10.

They were handed out as premiums and are not Hand Cut.

Agreed. The Adam Brown is not only tiny but has that atypical fake card doctor rough cut on the left edge that is NOT normal for 1951 Parkhurst hockey.

The Jim Thorpe is a very tough card to find in top grade because of its position on the factory sheet (LL corner). I've seen one of the legit PSA 8s in person and it doesn't look at all like the other altered ones...especially not like this pathetically chopped PSA 6. As more cards of financial consequence are found to be altered, confidence in PSA will continue to decline. Eventually a breaking point will be reached where PSA will have to start being honest and employ actual skill when grading cards, or submissions will drop to levels where its business model will no longer be sustainable.

Still a lot of Koolaid drinkers out there ,but I certainly think confidence in PSA (and graders in general) is on the decline.

312 is correct. Except for several uncut sheets and a few scraps/production errors that made their way out the back door, the cards are all factory issued, quite thick (much thicker than T206s), and have a very distinctive beveled cut.

Although Heritage let the auction run its full course, they did apparently notify the "winning" bidder of the alteration and the false grade issued by PSA.

Good to know they at least acted honorably after the fact.
