What really got me started collecting was going to games with my Dad and getting autographs at the stadium. My Dad passed away in 2019 so I thought it’d be fun to take out the collection and browse, And also to share it on here.
Not the best of pics, but I wasn’t going to take them all individually. All of these my Dad or I got in person or they are authenticated. Hope you enjoy the pics! Ive also got a Carlton Fisk, Duke Snider, Enos Slaughter, and Tony La Russia, but skipped over them accidentally. ![]() Fred Mcgriff, Jeff Kent, Prince Fielder, tim Lincecum, Carlos Delgado, Andy Pettite, Carlos Beltran, Barry Bonds, Omar Vizquel, Manny Ramirez, Gary Sheffield ![]() Don Newcombe, Don Mattingly, Chase Utley, Scott Rolen, Mark McGwire, Jose Bautista, Jack Morris, Magglio Ordonez, Johnny Damon, Rollie Fingers, Adrian Beltre, Andruw Jones ![]() John Smoltz, Joe Morgan, Vladimir Guerrero, Ozzie Smith, Nolan Ryan, Lou Brock, Tony Perez, Frank Robinson, Ken Griffey Jr. Jim Palmer, Al Kaline, Whitey Herzog, ![]() Paul Molitor, Jim Thome, Bob Gibson, Andre Dawson, Cal Ripken Jr, Gary Carter, Reggie Jackson, Barry Larkin, Red Schoendiest, Brooks Robinson, Eddie Murray, Bill Mazeroski, ![]() Yadier Molina, Pujols, Miggy, Mccutchen, Bumgarner, Benintendi, Freddie Freeman, Carlos Correa, Buster Posey, George Springer, Anthony Rizzo, CC Sabathia ![]() Bregman, Stanton, Machado, Rendon, Strasburg, Kershaw, Acuna, Lindor, Harper, Scherzer, Bryant, Verlander ![]() Halladay, Sutton, Hoffman, Sutter, Glavine, Ted Simmons, Bob Feller, Bobby Cox, Johnny Bench, Robin Yount, Frank Thomas, Warren Spahn ![]() John Scherholtz, Derek Jeter, Joe Torre, Rickey Henderson, Boggs, Chipper, Gaylord Perry, Lasorda, Sandberg, Schmidt, Billy Williams, Ivan Rodriguez ![]() David Freese! WOW!
Very cool collection. I only needed to note the Delgado and Bautista balls to know you and your Dad were men of refinement.

Nice balls
I like autographed baseballs too, but since I don’t have time to go to games plus I’m too shy to ask I have to settle for stuff from Tri Star.

Thanks everyone! It’s been fun putting the collection together.
Yeah I was shy at first, but then I got over it. My mom had a coworker with front row seats to the Braves games, so that really helped me get the chance to get a big chunk of these. I was very lucky. |

What a gorgeous set of balls. Seeing your Nolan Ryan reminded me of something that happened to me in the mid ‘90’s (probably ‘95 or ‘96). I was working for Enron at the time (yes, that Enron) and Nolan was a guest speaker for us one afternoon. So I, and a few hundred other Enron employees, pack into a banquet hall at the hotel across from our building. I take a seat near the back and purposely select a chair on the end, in case my beeper went off with a “911” code, which was always a signal from my broker that he had a trade lined up for me, in which case I didn’t wanna struggle to exit the row in an effort to quickly find a phone. The place is packed with limited seating as Nolan approaches the podium; the seat immediately next to me is one of only handful of open chairs remaining. I see a woman walking toward me, so I stand and motion for her to slide in front of me to take the empty seat. She says she’d rather sit on the end, so I explained that I may have to leave in a hurry, hence my selection of an end chair. She made up some excuse about a bad back and needing to stretch her legs out into the aisle, blah blah blah. I didn’t wanna be “that guy” so I took the 2nd chair from the end. Nolan kicks off his speech by instructing everyone to reach under their chair and pull out what they feel taped to the bottom. Everyone complies, and of course I recoil my empty fist. Nolan explains that there are 10 autographed balls randomly taped to seat bottoms throughout the hall. Guess who’s holding a gorgeous autographed MLB baseball while smiling like a Cheshire cat? You guessed it — the lady next to me, who refused to make eye contact with me as I burned holes through her.
Apologies for the long-winded story, but it actually felt a little therapeutic typing it! |

Glad everyone is enjoying the pics! This kind of reinvigorated me, I ordered an Alan Trammell and Curt Schilling (I figure he’ll get in before too long), sent Mussina a ball TTM, and plan to get some more soon.
