Default Modern Hobby Blue Chips?

Just curious who the consensus hobby blue chips are across the 4 major sports just to get a gauge of how frequently a blue chip player comes along. Criteria? There is no criteria other than your gut. I'm also not quite sure that one could say a player can be considered a blue chip collectible if they've been in the league < 7 years. Starting 1984 and moving forward:

MLB:
1989 Griffey Jr
1993 Jeter
2001 Albert Pujols (may not be blue chip anymore)
2009 Trout
Potential:
2018 Acuna / Soto (odds are this won't happen)
Steroids Ruined:
1985 McGwire
1986 Bonds
1994 Arod

NBA:
1984 Jordan
1996 Kobe
2003 LeBron
2007 Durant (may not be blue chip)
2009 Curry
Potential:
2013 Giannis
2018 Luka

NFL:
1998 Manning (considered blue chip?)
2000 Brady
2001 Brees (considered blue chip?)
2005 Rodgers (considered blue chip?)
Potential:
2017 Patty

NHL: I don't know the ice
2006 Ovechkin
2015 McDavid

Thoughts?

Nice list!

My personal list would have Pujols, KD & Brees off and Crosby & Ripken on.

I’m even more strict, Brady, Trout, Jordan and LeBron. Don’t feel like any of these cards will be worth less in the future

I'm much closer to this list than the original. I'd probably add Griffey and Gretzky (a little out of the original range) though.

+Griffey
+ Jeter
I don't think the others are on that very top tier in terms of being icons.
