Default 2019 Panini Flawless Blockchain Redemption

Any insights into these blockchain redemption cards from Flawless. I dont know whether to redeem or put up for sale. Hit a Rookie duel patch auto of Kyler Murray. Any insights would be appreciated. Thank you.

It is for a digital card only. The physical version is not included from what info I’ve gathered so far. I think they’ll have little sale value.

I redeemed the one from my Flawless box (Peyton Manning Auto /10) and now I “own” it in my Blockchain account. I could put it up for auction on the Panini app though

thanks for the response. They just seem odd without the physical card being with it. Do we know if there is a lot of views or activity on panini's blockchain auction site?

From what I read of the product before it was released, it was very unclear as to whether this would be a digital-only card or a hard card with a digital analogue like their previously website-auctioned cards.

Did I miss something or was this another example of Panini being intentionally vague?

But for the highly anticipated next wave, Panini America officials are offering a “more traditional” Blockchain experience — and they’re using the vaunted 2019 Flawless Football release as the delivery mechanism. In every briefcase of 2019 Flawless Football, releasing next Wednesday, Panini America officials are including one Flawless Blockchain bonus card in addition to the regular content found in each box. By scanning the QR code on that card, collectors will immediately take ownership of the respective Flawless Blockchain digital card through the Panini Blockchain website.

The Flawless Blockchain checklist features more than 500 unique Flawless Blockchain digital cards, each numbered to 10 or less. We offer a brief gallery of some of those cards below. Unlike the initial 100-card Panini Blockchain release, these cards will not have physical counterparts.

I would go with intentionally vague...the redemption card makes no reference to a physical card...only go to the blockchain website and redeem the card.

could see a lot of issues on ebay for sellers.

1) redemption
2) buyer will assume this would be a physical card (some dont read..)
3) refund requests

absolutely, this is where I was last night. Really small chance I would put on ebay just for this reason. I suspect most would expect a physical card and the return process and headaches would begin.

That is HIGHLY vague. It literally says you get a "Flawless Blockchain bonus card", rather than a "redemption for a digital blockchain card". It can easily be interpreted that the Blockchain bonus card is an actual card with a QR code on the back and you then claim digital ownership on the blockchain.

It says it’s a digital card, explicitly, twice in that description. If you read it all, it’s clear. But we all know people don’t read.

I think the release of the 100 card Blockchain set initially is what is going to confuse more people. Blockchain are digital cards. I doubt there will be more iterations soon with physical counterparts, but Panini ties Blockchain to physical NT cards to boost the sets cache.

Says no physical counterparts. It’s an all digital set

To paraphrase, it says you get a card, scan the QR code on that card and then get the "respective" card on the blockchain.

That word "respective" would indicate that your blockchain card is the digital analogue for the physical card you have in your hand. Which is exactly how their previous auctioned 1/1's behaved.

The whole point of being misleading is that there's enough verbiage in there for Panini to go "SEE SEE, PEOPLE JUST DON'T READ!!!"

However, they never explicitly state or spell out that you are getting a redemption with a QR code which unlocks a digital only card. They dance around it and they do use the word digital but they never fully explain that it's ONLY a digital card.

Agree - here is an example:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2019-Panini...e8a8%7Ciid%3A1

Definitely not obvious from the listing or redemption that you are bidding on a digital-only card (especially with the second image in the listing mentioning on-card autos)

There are few now listed at Public Auction in the Panini Blockchain section of the App. People are listing insane starting prices.

I'm probably going to put up the Peyton Manning I pulled in my Flawless box and start the price much lower. Then we'll see what value these digital cards really have

So far zero bids on 7 listings (some of which are close to expiring). There's a Stafford 9/10 "patch" "auto" there now for $150 so we'll see if that generates any interest.

I don’t think an actual physical Stafford Patch Auto /10 from Flawless would get $150 let alone a digital version. But we’ll see

Edit: I just listed my Peyton Manning on the Panini app.

Starting Bid: $10
Buy it now: $200 (which is more than what physical versions sell for on eBay)

Looks like it sold for $200?

Apparently it did which is a huge shock to me. I have a bad feeling I’m going to get a refund request as soon as the person realizes it’s not an actual card.

Oh and by the way, just so you all know. PANINI CHARGES A COMMISION OF $20

Seriously? To do what? Digitally transfer it to another account. Give me a fricking break Panini.

But if sale holds up I’m thrilled with making $170+ for a digital card

I just corrected Layton Sports during their break because he kept saying it included the actual card. There’s a lot of confusion

They really should have stated “digital-only” on the redemption card, especially since a physical card was included in the OG-100

Thanks, but that’s assuming the person doesn’t ask for a refund. I’m not even sure who I would contact with an issue since Panini is supposed to handle the “transfer” of the card. If the guy requests a refund then do I get my digital card back? Who knows

Also, where did you see the completed sale? I don’t see any record of it on the app
