It's pretty easy to stop a video and lose a buck or two, but I was trying to think of ones so bad I actually wanted to leave the movie theater (where I was in for more money than a rental) before they were over.

These are truly dreadful, aggressively unfunny "comedy" movies, but I did slog through them:

My Blue Heaven
The Great Outdoors

And this horror movie was so clearly (ironically) butchered by the censors that I did walk out after a half an hour:

Friday The 13th, Part 10: Jason X: Jason in Space

I still have yet to see the whole thing, and I'm a horror movie buff.

I also wanted to agree with "Caddyshack 2", mentioned above. Dan Aykroyd is as bad in that as any actor has ever been in any movie ever.
To Dan's additional discredit, "Ghostbusters 2" is another truly wretched sequel. Those, along, with "Great Outdoors" from above and the wretched "Spies Like Us" and "My Stepmother is an Alien" made him the go-to guy for awful movies from that era.

We can't be friends if you hate The Great Outdoors and Spies Like Us.

I'm kinda with you there with Ghostbusters 2 though. While I don't "hate" it, it pales in comparison to the original.

Yeah I'd rather watch Spies Like Us or The Great Outdoors for the thousandth time than any $hitty CGIfest comic book adapted movie from the last 10 years.

I'll give 'em another try one of these days.
(Maybe I was mad because I couldn't find my acid-washed jeans or was having a bad hair day because I'd run out StudioLine fixing gel.)

These will be unpopular opinions probably but here are mine:
Anything with Adam Sandler
Interstellar (had such high hopes but I absolutely hated it)
Blades of Glory
Neighbors (the tv version. Was absolutely horrible)
Anything Seth Rogen
Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story

How? You could just shut your eyes and listen to the score and it wouldn't be close to the worst film ever.

Pretty sure I watched that one at Sundance.

Thin Red Line was better than Saving Private Ryan, don't @ me.

Whenever someone asks me the worst movie I've seen I tell them Pink Flamingos, sometimes I make them watch it. I'm not sure if it's really the worst movie I've ever seen, but it's definitely not the best.

I made it about 10 minutes into the third movie, shut it off, and never even contemplated trying to watch it again. I loved the first Hangover.

How in the hell is it page 3 and no one has said “ Jack and Jill” ?

Hands down the worst film ever created imo.

I think that one goes into the category of "Could've predicted it would be awful without watching".

Hey, that's your fault for sitting through it..

I rewatched it recently ironically and I didn’t think it was that bad

I liked that Al Pacino actually tried in the movie

If you want a Sandler movie that is worse than Jack and Jill, watch That’s My Boy

Battlefield Earth
This is the correct answer! I couldn't leave though. I was actually on the worst date of my life at the time. The date started promising. I asked what she'd like to see and she says Battlefield Earth. I said, "Oh we don't have to see that if you think its something I want to see." She said that she actually wanted to see it. So, away we go.

Sitting in an almost empty theater and we are talking and right before the opening credits and the lights are going down, she said, "Oh, did I tell you I practice voodoo?"

I sat there with an uncomfortable silence the whole movie. I didn't move. I didn't want her to grab any hair fibers from me.

At the end of the movie, I walked her to her car and told her that I didn't think I'd want to see her again. She then stalked me for a month, including leaving 20+ voicemails on my roommates answering machine (I never gave her our home number and it wasn't in my name) and she showed up at my job three times. And trust me, I wasn't someone worth stalking. Just an average looking guy with an average job at the time, as a 20 year old.

So, even if that movie wasn't THE WORST, it has a really crappy story to go with it.

Not the worst ever but there isn’t a thread for “movies you were super pumped to see only to be sorely disappointed”(Maybe that’s next?)
When I saw the cast for Con Air I really thought that would be an awesome film. It was not IMO. Cage can really ruin a movie when he puts his mind to it.
