I think there's some level of humor here, but once the smoke clears this is pretty outrageous. Imagine buying the Bucks in products where Giannis autos are live (Flawless, for example), and now seeing you probably had no chance of ever hitting one. Some of those are also redemptions from old products that havent been fulfilled.

This seems like it could be a nightmare situation for Panini unless they clear up that this is just a signing, and then it still is some murky water.

Yikes. One of my favorite players. Anyone collecting their cards or own memorabilia is odd to me. I barely even like having my wedding picture displayed.

To put it in different terms.. if you were renting a condo at the beach and all of the pictures of the condo showed beds and fully furnished living quarters, and told you that was exactly what you were getting, and then you showed up and it was empty... you would be rightfully a) mad as hell, and b) have grounds to stand on for demanding a refund.

And this is just one player. Imagine if other players are holding back their low numbered cards and you never had a chance of hitting them.

I hear you but we'd be naive to think some of these guys out of 1000's of athletes don't keep a card here and there. He has some in top loaders so it's really impossible to tell what's going on in that video. Maybe he bought some maybe he kept some. That would be my guess.

if they’re numbered it shouldn’t be an issue.

panini could easily give the players unnumbered variations. maybe with a different stamp/holo’s on it
