Just saw a tik tok of giannis posting his collection of what looks like mostly his own cards. Pretty cool that he is collecting and showing off his own cards. Will other star players/ rappers/ celebrities start flexing card collections on social media? Not sure how to post video but here are a few screencaps of it.

His cards laid out on the table look like the ebay auctions I avoid. No cases, no sleeves, nothing organized and all facing different directions.

Only thing missing is his username being Giannisantent-0.

This! There’s no way those aren’t from him keeping them from signings! I can’t see him scouring eBay buying up his own cards!!

I'm honestly floored by how light hearted the conversation in the two threads are thus far. This is honestly a gigantic red flag for Panini. So many cards are the rarest of hits from products where Giannis autos were/are live. There is no way he purchased the product and hit those cards, nor are they from the secondary market.

In addition, the more I've looked over the video, the more I recognize other cards that are past redemptions that have still not been fulfilled.

This is just one player... imagine the issues if this is a trend and Panini is selling us products where some of the highest end hits may not ever make it into a box.

Well that plus the fact almost all of those aren't even in top loaders or mags. Why would he take them out of the holders and put them on the table like that? That doesn't make sense. What does make sense is they probably never made it to top loaders to begin with.

Guys calm down with your “butwhataboutmyredempshunz”. He obviously wouldn’t show off stuff he holds back from signings, or buy stuff on eBay. There’s plenty of extra “cards” panini holds for replacements, you ever hear of a whitebox? he probably just has them make some custom personals. If I was in the NBA I’d have them make me some sick custom cards for sure

Panini includes some cards for the player to keep as he signs them. It is like the players version of Next day autos. I am sure that players used to ask about keeping one in the past so now panini sends extras, for redemptions and one for the player to keep. That is why they are not in sleaves or top loaders. They are probably stored the same as panini sends them to Giannis to sign. My son thought it was cool that he has an auto that Giannis also has.

Can concur with Panini giving some cards to players. Saw on Facebook that Jerry Rice was sending back Flawless autos TTM recently.
