Default 2020 Panini Select Football

Any chance they go with a retail release on this?

Select is always hobby only I thought. I love Select so much but part of the allure is you can't find it in retail so I doubt they change that..

I doubt it. If so it’ll be a 24 card blaster box...

I believe they will. Same with select and revolution in basketball. Why wouldn’t they at this point? They could put out a one base card only pack of NT at retail for $99.99 and it would be gone in seconds.

I hope its only hobby. Retail is simply saturating the market and I hate retail box flippers. The less money for them to make, the better.

If I had to guess, I'd say that the closest thing to retail for Select will be that they do an online exclusive production of packs like the Cosmic packs from last year.

Select is Hobby Only, but they did release Select Baseball on the retail level. Anything's possible

I certainly hope they release Select Football into retail! Unfortunately for me my local Walmart and Target have stopped carrying cards. I wish everyone luck finding cards in store, I know they're pretty scarce right now.

I'm noticing retail prices dropping to levels that it's not worth flipping for the most part. Obviously that doesn't include Prizm and optic of any type but pretty much everything else. I've been finding cards on shelves much more frequently over the last month or so. Looking them up on eBay you can barely make a few bucks resale..

I think it all comes down to the product. Take Absolute for example. The scalpers grabbed it up like crazy the first week thinking it would be like Mosaic. Once they realized that it wasnt they have switched more towards Pokemon and other products. Thus you see Donruss Holiday blasters and Absolute sitting on the shelves. Mosaic will still get wiped out every time. Football is not like Basketball and I think the scalpers are finally catching on to that.

I actually ran into the rep stocking at Walmart today. I got some of the Panini contenders basketball blasters and was surprised at how little they were going for. I realize it's not Mosaic or prism but still I would have expected any basketball with a new class to fetch a premium.

On another note I recently started getting into Pokemon and I'm really surprised how little sealed wax gets on the secondary market. Champions path elite boxes which were impossible to find don't sell for much more than MSRP. With that being said I am starting to hold on to sealed Pokemon - we'll see if that changes..

to my knowledge playbook was hobby only until this year so select could make a retail appearance. Especially if what above is true.

Bit of a shame going in the Retail direction. Select was one of the only products left in that mid-level bracket that wasn't over printed.
