Default Let’s see one of your INVESTMENT Wax Boxes - I’ll start....

This Thread is to showcase ALL Wax! - not just “investment”
( you can’t make changes to the Title of a Thread once live )

Here’s a little taste / there’s plenty more!

This cardboard box contains 2 layers of wax - top layer you can see has about $17k ( Jan/ ‘21 value ) worth of really good stuff! ( humbly ) ~ They were bought in 2019/2020 (pre-COVID) for approx. $4,600 .... the opposite of Junk Wax!

———
February 2023 update:
This thread was started during the then unbeknownst final full month of ‘Covid Boom’ pricing ( 1/21 ). There was no Crystal Ball back then …. or now! Here’s a 4 year, wild ride realistic pricing summary for items shown in this inaugural Pic ~

2019/20 value $4,600
January ‘21 value $17,000
February ‘23 value $9,000

While not the best investments, these have sure gone up a ton since I've had them...

I'd say most of the unopened I buy for investment is currently under the radar so those will stay anonymous on my shelves but here's some stuff that I think I've bought my fill of and don't mind sharing.

The A&G on the right is 2008 (Kershaw and Scherzer RCs). I used to be able to pick up 2012 Target and Walmart blasters and hangers for cheap on the extremely rare occurrences when they showed up for sale but those days are over now with blaster almost always soaring past $200. Then to close out the picture there are two sealed sleeves of 2019 Topps Update Walgreens still in the original "from Topps" packaging. Haven't seen one of those for sale since they were released and even then I only saw a dozen or so.

This thread reminds me of why there’s no retail wax at stores anymore

I have multiples of these. Probably have to open them eventually because it's such a weird format, that it might be harder to sell.

Looking for Andre Dawson Serial numbered cards that are his jersey number - either #8 or #10. So looking for cards like 8/8 or 08/99 or 10/250.
