ALERT: Fake Kobe Star Rubies at Dallas Card Show

Watch out for this fake 1997 Skybox Premium Star Rubies Kobe Bryant being offered for sale at the Dallas card show. I've informed the seller this card is fake, but from what I hear it's still being shopped around. Graded by BGS, double-certified by Mike Baker Authenticated.

I'm sure some of these guys have been begging for card shows to open back up. Much easier to move something like this there than on ebay where there's more exposure and people have time to investigate it.

The front photo was taken in November, when I originally informed the seller that the card was fake. When it resurfaced at the show, the only picture sent to me was a picture of the back. It now has a Mike Baker sticker on it, so presumably it was submitted sometime between November and present.

Just so everyone knows, MC Sportscards is not the original seller. He is likely a victim here.

The card was being offered at the show by late90sbuyselltrade on IG. I believe his name is Alex. Again, he was selling the card knowing full well that it was fake, after promising never to offer it for sale.

Honestly, I didn't even notice they were different cards. My mistake. I don't know where the BGS 9 came from. The fact that there are two fake Kobe Star Rubies in BGS holders with Mike Baker certification floating around the show is very strange.

I just confirmed that the BGS 9 also originated with Alex from late90sbuyselltrade. It seems he owned both cards. I'm not sure whether he still has the BGS 8.5 or if he's managed to pawn it off on another unsuspecting buyer, but if anyone sees it surface please let me know.
