Default PSA Re-Sub after Photo taken

I got a card that received a PSA 6 and I feel that it's worthy of a re-sub to get a bump in grade. PSA has already taken a photo of it and you can see it when you check the ID online. The card is also serial numbered.

Has anyone tried re-subbing on a serial numbered card with a photo already in PSA's database? Wondering if PSA will just look up the card, see the serial number, and then just stamp me with the same grade. $1000+ down the drain.

This happened recently in a PC group sub , PSA said they recognize the card , ask for the label # to put it back in a case with same grade and same label # otherwise they would just send back raw.

That’s great to hear they’re doing that now.

Copy and paste from the PC update thread.

We received an email today from PSA about a card that was cracked and sent back for regrading. They said that they had the card in their database already and we needed to give them the certificate # to put back in the same holder or they'd send it back raw. This was a high value card that they had scanned into their system and obviously when it got scanned again it raised a flag. This is the first time we've seen this but someone else mentioned that they knew someone that this happened to as well. Looks like the days of cracking and reslabbing cards may be over.

Yes you may get flagged if you crack it and resub it. If you send it in as a review still in the slab they will take another look. Someone got flagged on the PCSports thread doing the crack and resubmit. Sounds like it was a new thing PSA was doing to discourage the crack and resub strategy.

I think I know what card you’re talking about but may be wrong. I saw on the pop report the Kobe Slam Green explosion had a population of 3 with one 10, one 9 and one 6. I was wondering how someone ended up with a card in that bad of shape. Correct me if I’m wrong.
