Talking Worst NBA signature of all time award goes to...

Let's settle the debate that everyone has on their mind... Which player has the worst signature in NBA history? After a very scientific and rigorous selection process, here are my final 4 contestants;

Dwight Powell

Maurice Ager

Bol Bol

C.J. Watson

What I like about these is that each is uniquely terrible in its own way. But there can only be one worst signature to rule them all! Who is your pick?

I feel like Bol at least put some effort into writing his name, and it's kind of unique in a way -- probably speaks/writes more than one language, too. The others, though.. not sure.

Poor penmanship or lack of care just shows where we are in this world in 2021. Surrogate indicator for lots of things.

With "signatures", and I use the term loosely, such as these one can see how easy these could be counterfeited.

I dont get it. I feel like any kid growing up, who played sports, dreamed about one day being famous and signing autographs and all that jazz. It blows my mind that so many athletes let that thought go to #@#@#@#@. Maybe its because their "welcome to the pros" experience is signing 10,000 cards laying on a table to no one, instead of to a fan directly. But still....

I feel like Dan Marino and Ken Griffey Jr have signed more than a lifetimes worth of autographs and Ill be damned if they dont always look as great as the one before it.

My favorite thing about the CJ Watson card is that the set is called "Future Stars". Dude was already 30 years old and out of the NBA two years later.

Ok that particular Cam Reddish card is definitely the worst, but after looking at his other auto cards online, this one seems to just have been an error. Either way, great find!

Bol Bol's is great, but it does kinda feel like a 5th-grader wrote it. No script or embellishment, just clean printed letters.

Aw man...C.J. doesn't deserve to be on this list because of a few lazy autos. His signature is decent on 90% of his cards

Mo Ager is the worst signer IMO but that Cam Reddish line may be the worst auto card ever. Especially since it's a sweet looking card otherwise.

Bol Bol gets extra points in my book for having the creativity to stack his names on top of each other.
