Default Break a partial filled box 2003-04 SPX...one card to PSA

Opened box with one pack missing earlier this week and just sent off one card to PSA (not the Pao Gasol card)

I miss Upper Deck, 2003 was a great year for breaking and value I did really well then.

Talk about a gamble paying off! I remember buying a pack of this back in 2004 at a show and slow rolling the pull when I realized it was an RPA. Saw Cavaliers and had a 5 second high before seeing it was Jason Kapono

I don’t even know how many of those boxes I broke back in the day. Best pole I had was Darko out of the very first box and I think it only sold for like 75 bucks lol. At the time the Lebron would sell around 750 pretty consistently. I opened a ton of product that year and didn’t pull a single LeBron auto. The next year I hit a bunch of them, including the exquisite limited logos/50. It had a beautiful three color patch. I think I’ve only seen it one more time in the last 20 years when it surfaced on eBay. I sold it for $900 a couple of days after I pulled it. At the time that was great money for a second year, auto patch of any player, including Lebron. Now it’s worth closer to 50,000. I opened so much product those years and pulled so many big cards, Jordan and LeBron and Kobe, etc.… I would easily be a millionaire now if I had held them. Don’t even get me started on the two cases of inaugural prizm.

I am a hoarder who hates letting stuff go.

I would have been in my element in the early 2000s
