Default 2020 Ryder Cup

A lot rookies on the US team and they still won.

Is this surprising? What were the odds before the tournament began?

There was a really good article in the USA Today about Tiger Woods' influence on the US team even though he wasn't playing.

The Ryder Cup did a ton for American golf this past weekend. It’s been tough for the Tiger/Phil generation to get into the younger players mainly because of their personalities or lack there of but this weekend brought it out of them. Now after watching them dominate Europe it will help rallying behind these new young gun golfers.

How can anyone not enjoy DeChambeau? Love him.

Not to mention he crushes golf balls.

I like DeChambeau but with him bulking up and trying to be like Koepka it turned people off. I like the scientific approach he brings to the game.

I am a relatively new golf fan. How is he trying to be like Koepka?

Koepka bulked up and started crushing the ball while winning the US Open and PGA back 2 back. He also had a run in with DeChambeau over slow play. Dechambeau started doing the same right after but in a more OCD scientific way.

I am aware of that feud. Kind of took on a life of its own.

I didn't know Brooksie bulked up initially.

That little tiff was actually good for golf in a weird way. Rivalries are good. Something to talk about.

Anything DeChambeau does wrong is never his fault. Always blames others or anything other than himself. Not my cup of tea.

The US was a -200 favorite going in and that line proved to be a steal.

Look up the story about how he blamed Cobra for the way he was hitting his driver even though they have a team that caters to him 24/7. Also look up the story about him and the fire ants. Then you can look up the story about…oh nevermind there’s too many to name.

It was pretty funny when a drunk Morikawa made DeChambeau and Koepka do an awkward hug at the post-tournament conference.

I think they still had to use the trophy as a buffer between the two.

Edit: Just watched the clip again - it was actually Justin Thomas who requested the bro hug.

-200? Surprised considering the beating the US has taken the past few of these tournaments and the # of rookies. Looks like Vegas knew what's up.

Koepka took a beating for his RC comments. Are some RC picks automatic? If not he might not be in another.

Just starting to enjoy the PGA Tour. A lot of interesting stories. Players always have something insightful to say.
