Default King Kong of Skull Island Trading Cards & Pin-up Comic Book on Kickstarter

The folks at 5E, an imprint of 5FINITY, want me to share this exciting information...

For over two decades, King Kong creator Merian C. Cooper and DeVito ArtWorks’ KING KONG of SKULL ISLAND property has offered the most comprehensive King Kong Universe ever created. More than just the first giant monster to thrill audiences around the world, Kong became an instant cultural icon, indelibly climbing his way into the planet's collective consciousness.

This dynamic trading card series and supplemental 24-page pin-up comic book will be an amazing addition to any King Kong fans’ collection! If you collect trading cards and comic books, or just appreciate wonderful artwork by talented artists, this project needs your support! Featuring the work of dozens of comic book, fantasy art, and trading card artists!!

Here is the link and some info. Thanks!

Cool concept; I picked the Sketch Cover Pack. Halfway to funded in only a few days. Stretch rewards look pretty weak though. Although the base set and all the parallels being in the original goal kind of make up for it. Usually those are the items that are rolled out over the stretch goals.

Add: Just noticed that the sketch cards have the artist name printed on front. I love that! I wish every set would put the artist somewhere on the card since there are some unreadable signatures or artists that forget to sign them.

This looks really cool so I decided to try the sketch cover pack to. It is fully funded already. So it never asked me for my mailing address? I have never done one through Kickstarter before. I just sent it in a message to the creator, hopefully that works. Either way I have something to look forward to early next year. Thanks for posting the info!

So what happened here? It said it was fully funded, and over $5,000 goal. Today I get an email saying that they didn't meet their pledge goal, and will not be collecting the pledge? Did people back out of it last minute or something? That was the first Kickstarter that I have participated in. I'm just curious how there was a message from the creator stating that it was fully funded, and now it isn't.

I'm not sure what the real story is, but it looks like someone or multiple people backed out last minute.

When I check the KS page, it shows $4,158 pledged of $5,000 goal
Yet they had an update from 10/26 that the project was fully funded

If you really want an answer, I'd try to email whoever ran the campaign. I didnt pledge, so I'm not going to email.

I posted a question on the kickstarter page, and asked them to re-run the request. If it doesn't work here, maybe on indiegogo?

I was looking forward to it.

Yup I was vested in this as well for $300. I thought it was a done deal when I pledged.
