Default 2012 Khabib rookie

Hey guys i been trying to get my hands on a khabib rookie card for a while. The variants are so krazy expensive now so i have been trying to get a base the problem is seems like there is very low amount of them? I guess in 2012 they didn't print many UFC cards or khabib cards anyone have any knowledge on how rare these really are? I checked PSA pop report there's only like 7 graded for the base rookie.

All the new collectors will find very low print counts with the Topps releases compared to Panini.

In addition.... collectors back in 2012 did not pay much attention to base rookies... ppl focused on autos and the low /# rookies.

So probably not very many khabib base rookies around? That's going to make this tough but also cool if I do get one of the goat it will be rare rare.

Does 2013 Finest count as a RC or 2nd year card? I found one sitting in a box, either way I am happy to have it!

2013 def is not a rookie. 2012 is rookie it says UFC debut on the card. 2013 would be a 2nd year card but still badass!

Pretty much - 2012 Bloodlines was a high-end set, and I definitely didn't have that type of disposable income back then. I think the earliest pack-pulled Khabib cards I own are from 2014.

Funny enough, I just got this back from PSA. A bit disappointed in the 8, thought it could be a 9 or even a 10. I bought a few Bloodlines boxes back then. At the time, I got a Nick Diaz red auto and sold it for $700 so I was pumped then. Went through some old boxes and found this so feel like I won all over again.

I picked this one up last year in a complete set that I purchased and subbed it because it looked much better than any others I had seen. Pretty happy when it came back as a PSA 9. Name: Screenshot_20211109-144959_Instagram.jpg

An 8 sold for about $1k the other day. For how rare this card seems to be and condition sensitive it is, that seemed a bit low when compared to the Panini sales that have been happening for his higher end cards.

So true man. I think people are sleeping on th rookie card that 1k sale for a PSA 8 base should easily be 3-5k. People sleeping on the goats rookie card!

So an 8 sold for just under $1k. An ungraded card is already over $1k with a few more hours to go. Are 8's that worse off or was that a fluke?

I don't think that most people understand that with 2012 bloodlines a PSA 8 is actually a good grade. It's a small sample size but there are actually no 10s graded from the entire set. With the raw copies that I have seen I wouldn't expect many if any to surface. I think of UFC much like soccer where there are way more fans of the sport than the cards at this point. With soccer collectors started out with the newer shiny stuff and eventually the older and more scarce stuff gained momentum. I think UFC cards will follow that path.

This is strange because I guess it doesn't ship to Canada? I can't see it on my eBay searches otherwise I would be bidding on it. At this point i would pay over $1000 usd to get a raw one. At my local show here in Vancouver Canada I was speaking to some hardcore ufc collectors and they also mentioned bloodlines 2012 is very condition sensitive also apparently was a very hard pull to get these khabibs. He was saying all UFC cards 2009-2012 a PSA 8 is amazing grade for them.

Which Vancouver card shop?

I live in Nanaimo and zero UFC collectors here... maybe 2 or 3 on the island in total.

Some people mentally associate anything under a 9 as being pretty worthless and you might as well gamble on buying raw. It doesn't make much sense, but that's where we're at - especially with the influx of noobs.
